Audley has found out to his shock that aged 34 he has no means of gatecrashing the top 10 cos no ranked heavy is gonna risk their ranking fighting an unranked 6'6'' olympic medalist, Danny isnt going to get the Skelton fight and no one is the US is gonna bother fighting him sooo...

If Audley could bump off a guy who beat Tyson and went 8 rds with Klitschko hes in the pic. If Danny can bump of a Olympic gold medallist he might reclaim some creditbility.

How can Audley even pretend it is a step back? Danny has fought much higher opposition (not with great results though) in Tyson, Sam and Klitchko than Audley have ever faced.

I would imagine though that the WBA will enforce Ruiz vs Valuev before such a deal could be arranged. Also, as Freihart said in another post neither are ranked highly by the WBA so I cannot understand this talk of the winner fighter Ruiz - similar stuff was said about Williams vs Skelton.

This could be the end of Williams, I honestly believe he was given this latest opportunity by his promoter because he (the promoter) honestly sees what Williams did in July as a bottle job and wants a nice win for Skelton.

I think he was using Williams to make Skelton look good, much like he did with Sprott and Williams (backfired) ahead of their 3rd meeting.

I agree that Audley Vs Danny would be an excellent fight that would be beneficial to both fighters, its not a step back for Audley. Howeevr I just can't see Frank and Audley being able to do business with each other

This would be a good fight for both men, Williams is no way a step back for a guy who has been feasting on the likes of Robert Davis and Bob Wiggins. Audley needs to add some credibility to his ledger and i think a Williams win would do that, contrary to his own warped beliefs Audley isn't tearing up tree in America and just because it is the "place to be" he might as well be facing off with British competition for all the good his American expedition is doing him, even the yanks don't know who he is or don't care. Harrison V Williams would be a winner!

He took £1,000,000+ of TV liscence payers money with promises that he'd be fighting for the British title in his 5th fight, and that he'd be challenging Lennox Lewis for the World title around the end of 2003', and he started the "gravy train" and fed us bouncers, security guards, dentists, and florists.

It's coming up to 2006' now and he's still struggling to find himself in the position to challenge for the British title.

I think he's spent his whole professional career to date... More worried about being ripped off by promoters than getting knocked out in the ring!

I'm not expecting anything big from him anymore... I don't think he'll ever become a World champion (because he fights scared), and I think his level will top out at British.

Behave Marton. That florist was, IMO, a very suitable opponent for Audley at that stage in his career

I agree Audley fighting Danny wouldnt be a step back, but Audley will say it is, as his goal was to goto USA and get his name established on the world scene.

I reckon this fight should happen. Boxing politics won't let it happen though.

Ever since Audley Harrison kept calling Danny Williams a cockroach, and a parasite trying to leech off his success when he was with the BBC, Williams has said he will never fight Audley.

I remember when Williams knocked out Tyson, and Audley then changed his tune and was jumping up and down trying to get Williams to fight him. Williams just said to Harrison, "didn't you call me a cockroach?".

I think Williams beats Fr-Audley easily, I don't rate Harrison at all and I don't think he'll do anything in his career, he won't even win the British title.

Harrison's full of shite, he likes to talk but has never backed up his words in the ring.

Neither of them is any good, and both make way too much noise when you consider how good they are/aren't. Ask yourself this, if both retired tomorrow would it be any great loss? No.

Early on in Williams career I thought he had the talent to become a world champ but he never seemed to progress from the potential stage and always looked as if he didn't really want to be a boxer.

I'd still give him a punchers chance against Ruiz and Byrd, that doesn't mean I think he's a top class heavy it just sums up how bad the heavyweight division is.

Audley on the other hand is just an utter ass clown, I saw him in the amateurs (before the Olympics) and didn't think he was any good and still haven't seen anything to make me change my mind.

Ripped off by Promoters? He was his own Promoter and I seem to remember it was he who tried to rip of his opponent in his very first outing. He also left a trail of unpaid bills wherever he fought, especially Glasgow, so I am told.

The BBC offered him a £1m for his first 10 fights, he's hardly going to turn it down. Audley never said he would be World champion by the end of 2003, he had a 5 year plan culminating him winning a World title in 2005, but the 2 years of injuries have put this schedule back. Audley won't be challenging for the British title because allegedly has the domestic scene tied up, he was in a position to challenge for the title after his win over Bonin in June 2004, but him and Frank couldn't agree terms.

There is still plenty to come from Audley 8) and he'll leave you lot eating buckets of humble pie

May be not easily but definatly capable of beating him. Think it would be a decent fight for both fighters. Williams would be a step up from anything he has fought. I hope it happens.

With them both looking for opponents I don't see why not. You get the feeling that Warren would kinda rather be rid of Williams at the moment and one big payday against Harrison which would still sell very well given they both have a fairly large public profile. If Williams loses then ok, he made some money for himself and Frank and if he wins then it puts him right back in the picture and sets up a future fight with Skelton again.

And at the moment Harrison hasn't got a lot of places to go, he is proving too big a risk of too small a reward for the level of opponents he is looking for in the states, of which the likes of Johnson and McCline aren't too far removed for Danny's rating.

Unless Danny doesnt have a contract with Warren anymore then I cant see it.

Harrison is just not that good, and deep down I think he knows it hence stringing his career out as long as possible. I always get the impression his confidence is a facade, just never seems genuine to me. My money is on him getting knocked out by the first decent test he has, he's looked petrified when the part time cab drivers have been clipping him on the chin imagine what world class guys will do to him.

Harrison is that good and he knows it. His confidence is genuine and its always seemed that way to me. My money is on him knocking out his first BIG test that he's in and the second and the third and.........
