I lied when I said a few mins.
There had been controversity surounding the choice of gloves. Adamek wanted size L gloves while Ulrich wanted size XL, but since Adamek is the champ he got to choose, so Ulrich is using gloves that ia actually too small for him.

Bloody hell that's all we need, hope we don't get another Morales-Pacquiao gloves dispute to spoil things

Round 1
Good action for a first round.
Good right Adamek
Adamek using his jab alot.
Ulrich needs to get a decent haircut
We are talking Ottke level cheering when Ulrich lands
Good left hook Ulrich.
Pretty even round, if I have to give it to one of them it will be Adamek.

Round 2
Adamek really using a "sloppy jab" a alot.
Good combo by Ulrich
Overhand right Ulrich
Pretty good action, but lands solid shots.

Online voters have Adamek up 3-0, but two of them were 51-49 & 53-47.

Ulrich is the one going forward.
Sounds like there is a lot of poles in the crowd.

Adamek is now a major player at Light Heavyweight!! First beats Briggs and then goes to Germany and stops Ulrich...i went for TKO11 Adamek. Adamek V Tarver
I think Light Heavyweight just became interesting...Tarver, Woods, Johnson, Adamek, Briggs, Ulrich, Erdei, Jones Jnr? I mean it has some decent talent knocking about.

Cheers for the round by round Freheit...what was McCall V Gomez like? I hear Gomez won on points, no surprise there, McCall's chin must be made of granite.

did you check how long the count was?
i was watching it but didn't record it.
funny thing, i think the referee was counting pretty quick and Urlich was up at ten.
He probably thought the referee would let the fight go (after the Kresniqui fught :)))... if he knew he won't he probably could get up half a second quicker... not more then half a sec. though.

my unofficial time from when Ulrich hid the floor until the ref reached 10 it took 9 secs - and adamek was nowhere near a neutral corner when the counting began.

Decent scrap while it lasted. Adamek was way too good and while Ulrich was trying to outwork him I think he exhausted himself in the process. Ulrich was blowing really hard in the corner after the 5th round.
I would love to see Adamek vs Tarver, would be a real interesting match.

Freiheit, I hope youre not an Ulrich fan trying to stir up some controversy, but Adamek and Ulrich's hands are exactly the same size mate, go to boxing.de and click weigh-in pictures if you dont believe me, its clear as day my friend that this was a controversy-free fight.
There was some controversy yesterday though , as Team Ulrich wanted to use "XL" gloves but they knew the rules-champion's choice-and Team Adamek decided that both fighters would wear standard Everlast gloves. This was all decided one day before the fight, I dont believe "L" or "XL" gloves had anything to do with it, as both fighters have the same size of hand anyway.

You guys can also check b o x i n g t a l k . n e t, the "King Returns to Germany" article, where they specifically state that the WBC's president Jose Sulaiman decided that the fight will follow normal WBC rules (meaning champion's choice of gloves), and that Ulrich's camp requested to use "XL" gloves Friday right after the weigh in, but at the rules meeting Team Adamek stated that both sides will wear the same, regular sized gloves. If its true that Team Ulrich tried to argue the issue again come fight night, its very clear that Ulrich and his team were simply trying to get inside Adamek's head with some sort of mind game, as the case was closed on the gloves at the rules meet as I mentioned, more than 24 hours before the fight.

Well that's the info Freheit gave us isn't it? What's the problem

Thanks Freiheit. Not that quick as it seemed, but still a clear influence of the Krasniqui-Brewster fight
However, i don't think there is a controversy about the stoppage, Urlich was out and the fight should have been stopped to prevent further damage.
