Calzaghe throws doubts on Tarver fight!

“All I can say is I will happily fight Tarver or Lacy, I don't really mind which one, provided my injured left hand has recovered and that any obstacles can be overcome - and there are usually obstacles”
“A fight against Tarver is definitely one I would consider."
“And despite what Tarver has said about me preferring to fight in my own back yard, if the money was right, I'd consider going to America.”
Contradictions galore, if's and buts and maybe's all over the place and what do we have, another Calzaghe superfight soon to be flushed down the pan.

I hope Joe gives Tarver a beating and shows how weak the LHW division is.

Calzaghe's up and at 'em attitude is an inspiration to us all.

C'mon Joe, just fight one of them.

I don't expect for Joe C to ever have a career defining fight. His biggest win to date is probably Eubank.

I said this before the Lacy fight, when he was doing exactly the same thing.
Talking about difficulties over venue, politics etc etc. is just about permissable, although a tad pessemistic to say the least.
But can any boxer in their right mind contemplate getting an injury before a career-defining fight? And more to the point, air it in public? Did Lacy speak to the press before the Reid fight and say, "well, you know, I want to fight Calzaghe n'all, but you never know, I might get injured in the Reid fight, and that would just completely ruin forever the possibility of a fight completely." Did Hatton worry about picking up an injury anytime before the zoo fight?
For me, that is verging on the unforgivable by Calzaghe, and strongly suggests he has no desire to fight Lacy.
I think we should just give up. Tell Fwank just to let sicknote keep on fighting for his WBO strap-on. Put him in a padded cell, stick a speed camera in with him and tell him it's the ITV camera's lapping up all his glorious 'defences' live.

Joe's attitude is nothing short of peculiar. What does he actually want? All of his potential opponents to grow bored and vacate their titles so he can pick them by default? Bizarre.
