Hw did the technique of hand-wrapping begin? Who originated it? I believe that when the transition to gloves from bare knuckle boxing occurred, fighters simply wore gloves over their bare fists. Also, are both fighters now required to use the exact same amount of tape and bandages? From looking at photos and fights on television, it appears that different fighters have their hands wrapped differently, especially in England where the thumb has no wrapping at all and the hand in general appears to have much less material on it as opposed to here in the States.
