Kid chocalate vs todays fighters

by chance
I was having a conversation with my dad the other day about the difference between todays fighters and the fighters of yesteryear when my he said that there was something I needed to see. He showed me some film of kid chocalate from 1931. I'm not sure who the fight was against and the film quality was kind of sorry and didn't have any sound but it was still good enough to get a solid feel for what was going on. The guy he was fighting looked about twice his size, but I still had chocolate winning 90 percent of the rounds. Kid chocolate is now one of the most complete fighters I have ever seen. He was doing feints, turns, throwing combinations and counters, and baiting the guy, then making him miss and making him pay. And all of this in 1931! You hear alot of talk nowdays about how fighters from the old days would fair against modern boxers, and being a younger guy I can be kind of skeptical about the "old days" but as far as kid chocolate goes, I'm a beleiver. Theres nothing modern boxers do better now than he could do then IMO. At 130, I'd take him over Barera, Morales, even Mayweather and that says alot because 130 was above his natural weight. Yall let me know what you think

One of the all-time greats. Only 10 losses in his entire career, at least 4 of which were highly controversial.

Defeated many of the all-time great featherweights, including Benny Bass, Lew Feldman, and Fidel LaBarba. Was a part of one of the all-time great lightweight championship fights with Tony Canzoneri.

Kid Chocolate could compete with any of the Lightweights and Feathweights today. I don't know how well he would fair against bigger lightweights like Mayweather or Castillo, but he could definitely take on any of the great featherweights and stand a good chance at winning.
