Is Setanta our only hope?

Only Heavyweight fight I am looking forward to seeing (outside of Williams vs Harrison) and it doesn't look like it will be broadcast in the UK.
I have contacted Setanta to see if they plan on showing Klitchsko vs Rahman. Hasim is one of only two heavyweights who I think MIGHT beat the Ukrainian giant. Its a cracking little undercard brewing also.
Lets start bombarding Sky or Setanta to see if this bill can be shown, preferably live.

Im still hoping Sky will pick this one up, remember night of the undisputed, they picked that one up last minute.

I reckon Sky might pick the rights up in next few days. It's Arum I think, and they usualy do business with him. If they keep with their new policy of screening "real" world title fights, they can hardly pass up the richest prize in sport, if they're serious.
Outside of a hail mary right hand, I don't give Rahman much of a chance here. Vitali to destroy him by round 8.
Anyone know if ARD Germany will screen undercard too?

Brewster I would say, perhaps even Byrd?

I am not so sure about Byrd, he is getting worse, that fight with Williamson was a terrible spectacle and he also struggled with McCline previously. Brewster might have a chance because of his heart and power but he would need to be in better shape than when he boxed Krasniqi.
I don't give Rahman much of a chance versus Vitali, i would expect Vitali to do the job by TKO mid to late rounds.

Yeah I agree that Vitali should be able to deal with Rahman handily. It will be like Wlad V Peter only Rahman is unlikely to hurt Vitali.

James Toney is the only fighter I give the remotest of chances, alhough Corrie Sanders would still have a punchers chance.

Must admit i wouldnt bet on anyone beating vitali at the moment, for me he is head and shoulders above anything out there. Toney's a crafty smart fighter but Klit is too big for ol james to do anything about, I cant see Toney hurting Vit, its all down to how patient vit is whilst trying to catch Toney.

Don't get me wrong, Rahman would have to be in the form he beat Lewis in.
Rahman has a fantastic jab with ape like arms.
He HAS the bigger reach of the two.

Toney can beat him.
Size does not matter when there in the same weight class.
Toney's skills are far better than Vitali's and if Toney gets inside Vitali will leave the fight with sore ribs.
Toney's punch might be underestimated as even though Holy was shot, knocking him down his hard.

Rahman was a journeyman who occassionally showed flashes of world class.
I guarantee this: Vitali Klitschko will batter Rahman into submission within 5 rounds.
This will be a very one sided fight, Rahman has NO chance.

I know about Rahman having the long reach but I don't see him using it effectively. I can see him walking towards Vitali all night, throwing the occasional bomb, but generally being far too lazy and losing every round until it finishes. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I will be as he has the potential to cause an upset if he comes out with a good plan AND has a back up in place.

Definitely, he was underprepared and far too cocky. Vitali met him prior to that fight and Lewis told him that it was an easy fight that probably wouldn't last more than a round or two. The huge gulf in class certainly showed through in their rematch and that's why it's very difficult to look at Rahman as having the potential to be "the man" of the division.

I think we are guaranteed to see the best Rahman as he has wanted this fight for a long time. Question is will we see the best Klitschko after being out of the ring for 11 months and coming back from a serious injury.
I dont see this fight being the formality other people think it wiil be

Rahman has done little before or after Lewis, i agree with the consensus that Lewis's cockiness cost him. Rahman threw away a decision to Ruiz and looked poor against Monte Barrett last time out, it was only because Barrett was poorer that Rahman fiddled through.
