I know this kid has talent and a potential ceiling about as high as Big Ben, but how did he look in his 3rd round KO the other day. We don't get any British fights here unless they're big time, yet I'm really interested to see this kid in the future.

He looked good against a guy who was 2 divisions lighter than him. Good handspeed and throws together good accurate combinations seems to lack a real dig at the minute but he has plenty of time to get stronger.

He is definitely one to keep an eye on and is getting plenty of exposure over here so you guys in the u.s may get some fights earlier than usual with normal up and comers as they are trying to push him onto big cards and the tv people have shown all his fight slive so far.

He looks a fantastic talent to be honest, there's not a promoter in the world who wouldn't sell his soul to the devil, for a chance to get on the Khan bandwagon.
And he's got the looks & personality to be a major cross over star, if everything stays on the rails.

Only reason we know this is due to his amateur career - the guys he's been knocking over as a pro have been miles below his level, though he's shown the hand speed and reflexes of a natural born fighter, and could just be the real thing.

His punching power has been questioned, but personaly, I think once he starts to settle down and sit down on his shots more, he'll be knocking them sparko. The way he took control of & dropped some of those hardened veterans at the Olympics ( with head gear ) showed he carries hitting power, I think.

The million dollar question is his chin. If it's sound, then he's just about the complete package. He was knocked over in his last amateur fight, which has people in the trade whispering that could be his achilles heal.

But ODH was dropped a few times early, and they were saying the same thing - so nothing for sure yet...

I agree on his punch power, he knocked down the tough Korean Baek (?) at the Olympics witha great shot so when he sits down on his punches he can maybe get those guys out of there in quick time.

Yeah I think that sort of power will just develop with age really.

for me khan lacks any real power,he is boxing feather weights and they are dealing with every think khan throws at them,it was stop to premuture the kid was not hurt,whats khan going to do when faced with boxers is own weight.please khan lacks any real personailty he sounds thick in is thick yorkshire accent.

Thick? He doesn't sound thick at all. Martin Power sounds thick.

I agree his stoppages have been more to do with the volume of punches his opponent has been taking rather than the power behind them, but that'll change as Khan grows stronger, which he will. He's hardly going to have reached his peak strength levels before his twenties is he....

So not many are truly convinced by his power? I really would like to see him fight a bigger name...not asking for Mayweather tomorrow, but someone who can challenge him.

Wat about a couple of Nobby Nobbs fighters Jason Nesbitt , Karl taylor both in and around the 10st mark for Amir next up.
