Yeah, in fact I don't think the McBride-Tyson fight should be considered for anything, it was a joke. Maussa over Harris or Raheem over Morales for me.

Zahir Raheem for his win over Morales might get a look in.

Maussa over Hatton maybe?? Hatton over Tszyu was unexpected...yep the McBride fight is meaningless.
Honeyghan's year was 1986, otherwise it'd have gone to Edwin Rosario upsetting Bramble.
People will look back at the 2002 winner and wonder who the hell are they?

Surely Morales-Raheem would be a strong contender surely, no one expected Raheem to do the job, it was a warm up blowout in some people's eyes.

Are these upsets from The Ring? I think there was no award in '91 because that was the year they went bankrupt.

Toney over Michael Nunn might've got it in 91

Taylor vs Hopkins was a pretty big upset this year.
Soto vs Juarez was a another biggie.
Surprised not to see Little vs Nunn on that list and Booth vs Sheika.

McBride beating Tyson was an upset of sorts, but given Tyson's recent form it really wasn't THAT much of a surprise.

Definately would have had Williams vs Tyson as a bigger upset than Johnson vs Jones.

Jameel McClines loss to Zuri Lawrence was a pretty big shock although lower profile
At British level Ricky Burns beating Graham Earl was a shocker as well

Agree with that. Tyson hadn't been beaten for a while, and for the first two rounds looked like the usual Tyson stuff. Then Williams refused to budge and Tyson capitulated. For the McBride fight, Tyson wasn't even in it from the start. Slow and ponderous, he looked nothing like the Tyson at the start of the Williams fight, let alone his old self.
The victory against Tyson for Williams is a bigger upset for me at least. How many people predicted him to win (apart from me, winning 660 pounds - rounds 3-5 at 66/1)

Don't you mean Curry - McCallum? As for Starling - Curry: I got the rematch about a year ago after bennie (who used to post on here) recommended it. Top fight...
