Who'd win this matchup? I'm talking about the Jones that just had wins
over James Toney & Pazienza. As good as Lacy looks right now I'd still
have to pick Roy by decision.

Jones by wide UD. The Jones of '94 was a notch or two above Lacy inn all departments except punching power. That said, Jones had decent power at 168 too.

I am in total agreance w/ you guys on this one. Jones wouldnt have been hit flush and that is what Lacy is all about. But imagine if jones was hit flush, do you guys think he would have been exposed as a Glass jaw then? I think he would have, but like I said earlier, Lacy wouldnt have been able to get to Jones' jaw.

Lacy looks powerful and heavy handed and he has a puncher's chance to KO Roy.

Jones would beat him easily at 168, Toney would have also beaten Lacy who still hasn't beaten the top fighters in his division

Jones by 7th round TKO. Lacy is my hometown guy, but I must be honest. Jones at 160 and 168 was one of the most talented guys ever and there is argument whether Lacy is even the top of his current division with guys like Calzaghe and Kessler yet to fight him (I think Lacy beats Calzaghe, but I have not to see Kessler). Also, Jeff was very chinny as an amateur so that is a side of him just waiting to be exposed in the pros. I am not looking forward to that since he is a fun fighter to watch and a nice guy. Jones would dissect him and put on a virtual clinic before the ref mercifully stopped the massacre. I am probably being biased to Lacy by even saying he goes seven rounds.

At this stage of our view to Lacy''s Career how can anyone assume Lacy could outmuscle or outbox the likes of Roy or JT? It's way way too early.

Now put Caljoker in this theoretical and the outcome is easy to compute.
I've seen enough of him to know he has no chance against JT or Roy.

Come to think of it , I've seen enough of him period.

Oh, Lacy by KTFO. No doubt about it. See, Calzaghe (the most recent obvious pussy, liar, punk pulling a scam) would get the same thing, too. No doubt about it.

Lacey doesn't seem to be anything special to me, I don't really see what all the fuss is about. Jones would be far too fast for him and would win by either points or late stoppage.

Silkov you don't even see the potential? I may disagree with you though like I said it is far to early. I like his attitude and I think he shows great promise.

I'm not saying he hasn't got potential and he is a breath of fresh air regarding the fact that he seems to want to unify the belts... but I wasn't that impressed with him against Reid recently... he seems to be powerful but rather onepaced. I'd certainly like to see him fight Calzaghe and see that as a pickem fight right now....

I agree that Lacy-Calzagnut is a "pickem" fight. For Cal......someone will need to "pickem" up off the floor once Lacy finds range.

Hhhmmm! I'm not a Calzaghe fan, far from it! but I think at the top of his game he will be too fast and sharp for Lacy. Having said that I think Joe's on the wane and ready for the talking now. The thing that makes ma mad with Calzaghe is that he was a real talent but has spent the best part of his career fighting mostly stiffes in Wales.....

Silkov I'll go along with Calzippy may have been better than we will ever know, but that's not much solice. He didn't get as serious as he should have when he was at his apex.

ALSO his confidence about his ability to predict Lacy's capability has to be considered here. He said on many occasions that there was no way Lacy would get Reid down. I think that will effect him. He is already negatively psyched regarding Lacy.
