This might resemble the Chavez/Meldrick Taylor fight.Pryor pouring in the punches, while Chavez brutalizes the body.A wicked pace, and close fight, but Chavez was a machine. As good as Pryor was,Chavez would be exposing his defensive flaws.Chavez doesn't punch as hard as Arguello did,but he was quicker, and a quick boxer/puncher like Pryor wouldn't trouble him like it did Arguello. They would punch non-stop and definitely give the fans their money's worth.Pryor was awesome.I loved to watch him fight. But Chavez was special.Chavez by decision,or late rds K.O.,with Pryor most definitely going out on his sheild

I think both men get busted up pretty badly. Pryor was the better puncher but would be floored at some point in the fight (maybe twice), He wouldn't be KO'd but the 10-8 round(s) would help Chvez take a close decision.

Chavez was a solid puncher but he defintely lost power as he moved up. he ahs enough to win this one though.

Pryor would have beaten Chavez, The man was a punching machine and would have won by UD.

Pryors aggression would have worked against him in this fight. Chavez defensive skills and solid chin would have handled Pryors punches. His body punches would sap alot of Pryors steam as the fight progressed. l see Chavez winning a hard fought but clear cut decision.

I love JC and think Aaoron was slightly overrated bu JC was too easily hit and with the volume of punches Aaoron throws and his superb stamina I see him landing 3-1 for the night. Aaoron was a stronger better chinned version of Taylor, which means JC is in for a long night of non stop punching..the key to beating Pryor is movement and speed, clever boxing...DLH is Pryor's nightmare......

Stronger sure, better chinned, not so sure about that. Taylor had a solid beard and sturdy, until the much bigger stronger Norris damaged him for good. What bothered Chavez about Taylor was his blinding speed and quick darting moves the type that Pryor does not possess.
JC was too easily hit

Not true. Chavez at or close to his peak had a superb and subtle defense. Pryor would miss alot and would get tagged by awesome counterpunching especially by deliberating bodypunching.

Like I've said JC was a real great and to be honest I always felt that he was the type of fighter who needed 20 rd fights to be at his best. He was a notoriously slow starter and Pryor would really expose this. You say subtle defense, maybe so, but he still took far too much shots to the head. It was his style because he had a great chin.

But the fact that he didn't possess real KO power meant he usually had to wear down his opponents, and we all know Pryor was extremely fit...he couldn't be worn down too easily. JC had a defense, but his head was part of that...his chin kept him there and with Pryor being so damn busy and throwing tons of shots, this still means Julio is going to take a lot...that is FACT....If they fought over 20rds. I'd give JC a chance but over 12 or 15, it's catch up all the time against Pryor....too much to do too late..
