Which of these guys do you think will be universally recognised as the next world champion? I think it has to be between Wladdy, Brewster and Toney, but difficult to split them. If a tournament is organised between these fighters I would fancy Toney to win it provided somebody else gets rid of Wladdy before he would have to meet him. Of the remainder, I think Peter, Tua and Brewster give him the most trouble.

What odds would you offer on Audley Harrison?

The champion in my opinion was Vitali- many said they thought Byrd was.

Byrd bt Vitali , Wlad bt Byrd , Sanders bt Wlad , Vitali bt Sanders.

Thats the linearage in my eyes.

At the moment that king is Byrd. Not for much longer though. Byrd willl lose the title in his next defence.

Be it vs Toney or anyone else remotley world class.

To be honest, I think that Harrison would be able to beat some of these guys! Don't know about Brock, he has to get past the Tuaman first!

I've seen Brock v McCline, was impressed by Brocks movement and punch variety, Brock got decked quite heavily in the 8th but came back to rock McCline by the end of the round.
He keeps busy has a fight against David Bostice next week, a match he should win, probably on points, Bostice is not the best but has a good chin.

Then in January he takes on Tua , pretty much an acid test for him there, If he can keep Tua at the end of his punches then he can win on points. Of course thats easier said then done, if Tua gets in with some of his left hooks anything could happen, Brock has shown a good chin and may need to prove it in this fight.

But the way he equates the heavyweight division alone as being 'the sport of boxing' is utterly wrong.

I wouldn't pick Harrison to beat any of those listed above, seriously.

Boxing has always had the big definite and most recognised man throughout sport. The Heavyweight Champion of the World is meant to transcend Boxing. Fact is the current line up doesnt exactly whet the appetite of the common sports fan

I think McCline was motivated and inshape for the Brock fight, In his last one against Laurence he just thought he had to turn up and would beat him, didn't work out like that.
I agree that Brock doesn't have the reach or Height of a Lewis, but this isn't the same Tua that was destroying fighters a few years ago, he barely scrapped through against Cisse Salif in his last fight, I just think that Brock has the determination and conditioning to get through any rough spots against Tua.
I would also have liked Tua to have taken a couple more fights before moving up in competition, He does need to work on his punch rate and conditioning.

While Tua started slowly he only lost 3 rounds at the most to Salif and from then on looked better than I have seen him for a long time he threw more right hands and bodyshots and was throwing his shots in combinations which is a rare thing for him lately. Re-hiring Roger Bloodsworth as his trainer was a smart move as Tua's defense looked better as well as he was bobbing and weaving more. I would agree with you though as I would like him to have another tune up
