King discusses more of the heavyweight tornament again.... stating he would like Tyson and Holyfield involved - believing Tyson could prevail.

He also mentions having Holy involved - for name factor, think he knows though he stands no chance.

Perhaps King would like to order Holyfield a wheelchair for after the fight?

I think King wants Holyfield vs Tyson III, which is very much winnable for Tyson and still would be big box office.

The aura is STILL there with Tyson, my old man follows boxing almost as religiously as myself, he's seen Tyson vs McBride, he knows he's 39.

First thing he said when he found out about Klitchsko...... Tyson would take Rahman.... if he trained. I told him B/S, but he said "needs the money and know a title win would mean more money than what he has been getting of late".

This is not a lay boxing fan, this is quite a knowledgable person on the sport.

Im a huge Tyson fan, 1st ever fight i saw was his title win against Berbick. I have always thought he would be the man once again but his last 2 fights have finished him.

At his age and his lack of desire for training he is now a 3 round fighter at best.......he wasnt even that againt McBride which was the end of his career.

King wants........to go and get himself stuffed :x

Even Jim Watt was screaming that this is "the best we have seen Tyson in years" in the third round of the Williams fight. They were also seemed to be orgasmic over his KO over Etteine. Have to say it was only the McBride fight which was the final nail in coffin for me and "Tyson still has a chance". I do, and still think, that the night Tyson faced Danny the injury was the most telling factor in the contest. I think he would have KO'd Danny in the second but for leverage problems, due to the injury - and this was only watching the fight in reply when I realised just how poor his punching form was post the knee giving way.

Anyway, big chances that he will be back - apparently wants a match with Tarver.

I would still argue there is more of a chance of Tyson reclaiming the title than Naseem.

saw tyson last night - last minute job got a late call. He said he'd spoken to Tarver about a fight in the new year in dubai and that antonio's keen on the idea. One last fight he said. Asked if he'd been in the gym - no. Asked about his leg - still a problem. Otherwise he was on good form. I think I'll buy a ticket for Wednesday at the Hilton. Wouldn't talk about his career at all despite lamely pressing him on it and offering the highs as well as lows line. Thought that was quite nice, quite modest of him. Said he had money problems but was still comfortably off.

No disrespect to your old man, but he's talking out of his arse. Tyson 'needed the money' when he fought Williams and McBride, and lost to both, Rahman is better than either man, and he carries a shot well.

Tyson has zero interest in boxing any more and even less in training for a boxing match.

Exactly, is in a bad way at the moment.

The heavweight division may lack the luminaries of its past.

But that needn't mean it wont be entertaining watching a unification series.

And I for one am not suprised by DKP's calls for Tyson v Holyfield III.

I'm not surprised either, but that doesn't mean it should happen.

At the ages of 42 and 39 I've little or no interest in seeing this fight. Evander and Tyson are both old and inactive now.

I agree though that Evander wins, Tyson would just quit again after 3 rounds.

I think we will finally see some excitement in the division, as there is little sense in King continuing to put together heavyweight fights which nobody wants to watch.

My money is on either Lamon Brewster or Toney to emerge as the temporary man at the weight. Valuev will probably beat Ruiz, Toney v Byrd will be very close, Valuev will get bamboozled by Toney if he wins, and I think Byrd can do what Donald did for 12 rounds.
