I agree, his career at the moment has been hit as hard as he hit Takaloo!!

Why they have not got a banger like Alexander a more meaningful fight coming off that win is beyond me, it was like he got knocked out.

They should of sent him for broke after that win. If Alexander gets tagged again by a lesser fighter its over for him.

Its a shame even his fight on Hatton Undercard v Bladt was entertaining.
He should go elsewhere

yeah i remember that fight, he looked in trouble against takaloo and then produced one of the most devastating punches i`ve ever seen. he can bang alright.

That was a serious punch, stands out as one of the best I have ever seen in a British fight. Takaloo was in space when it landed.

The Junior Middles in the U.K. used to packed with talent.
Alexander, Richard Williams, Takaloo, Steve Roberts, Anthony Farnell, Michael Jones, Adrian Stone and Paul Samuel. Yet very few fights were made between them and very few got a 'real' world title fight.
But then again Wrank Warren and Barry Hearn used to promote most of them so no big surprise.
Alexander like Williams will probably one day look back on a wasted and dissapointing career.

Wayne Alexander , a waste of talent. He has a soft chin , but boy can the lad punch.

I rememeber someone writing in to BN saying that Wayne Alexander would dethrone Daniel Santos in 2005.....................

I think he has pissed Warren off big time by demanding better opponents and bigger purses! Warren has publicly stated that he isn't spending much time on a low profile fighter like Alexander! If Alexander had any sense he would have left Warren there and then!

Im sick of this total hysteria toward Amir Khan.

Yes , he is a good fighter who has the potential to do great things towards british boxing.

But real boxing fans want to see the fighters we used to watch on Sky Sports .

We dont want to see the main event and Amir Khan.

We want to see the main event , and some other fights like they did on Sky.

I feel for the likes of Wayne Alexander.

falling out with your promoter when you are still under contract is terrible for the fighter......they just cannot win... cannot fight for anyone else....if they dont get fights they dont get paid...and the promoter may offer them fights which just arent sensible.
Wayne was meant to fight on the December card, then got put back to January and then when Magee pulled out he was offered a place on the December card again.....

Any chance of him taking the place of Eamonn Magee on the 10th?

was alexander last fight more than 4 weeks noticr :) yes i wouldlove to see him and takaloo instead

Whether Alexander is lazy or not I couldn't comment on, but he took on the formidable Harry Simon at 24hours notice, so the bottle certainly isn't lacking at light middleweight.

i think its also the fact that Wayne knows he is ex british, euro champ and WBU champ so obviously gets offended when offered a late notice 8 rounder as if he was a journeyman

He should leave sportsnetwork as soon as he can.
