I seen this advertised on sky tonight for next Friday fight night. Anyone got any info, is it for a title??
Its very soon for Napa after a hard 12 rounds against Power.

Very strange fight this one, Kelly is going to be dejected and probably a lot lighter than Napa. Napa is surely not over the Power fight yet.

So many questions on how the fighters will react to a bad couple of weeks for them. I think both given 6 weeks specifically for each other I would go for Kelly every time (in a closish battle, with Kelly pulling away at the end). However, under these circumstances there is a lot of questions and I think it is now a tougher fight to call.

i think napa thinks he`s harry greb or someone taking this one so soon after the power fight.

Interesting fight for all the reasons mentioned above.

Despite the disappointment of Kelly's world title fight falling through, Damien is very professional and I think his superior class will be enough to see him home.

Napa must be seeing this as good opportunity to get a crack at a Flyweight title either by winning or even an honourable defeat. With Lee Haskins at flyweight and Dale Robinson back down to flyweight there could be some good matches to made for the British flyweight title.

Hey, this is quite a good matchup considering how short notice it is. Napa didn't take a lot of punishment in his last fight and stated he would be back in the gym on the following Monday.

I think Kelly is professional enough to cope with his Word Title fight falling through and will outpoint Napa in a closely fight fight.

I am also surprised Napa is taking this fight so soon after his battle with Power, what is like a fortnight?? Even though he wasn't badly hurt both men threw a lot of leather, it wasn't a drab affair. Still let's just enjoy it and hope it is a good battle, the one thing that always goes against Napa is his lack of power. I back Kelly to win a close fight, tight for 8 or 9 rounds but with Kelly maybe pulling away late to do just enough.

Good to see Jason Cook back again, is he now fighting at Light Welterweight? Surely he isn't trying to still make the Lightweight limit.

Gary Reid is listed as a light welter and has come in around 140 for his last 5 fights, so i'm assuming so.

'Tony Dodson at yesterday's weigh-in scaled just 12st 4lbs for his match with Hungarian Szabolcs Rimovsky. Dont know what happened to the fight with Cover.

Former IBO lightweight champion Jason Cook meets Wolverhampton's Gary Reid over eight rounds.


He looked out of shape and overweight at the weigh-in though - scaling a career 'worst' 10st 7lbs - and was last seen heading for the hotel gym yesterday after Reid's camp complained about giving away almost 5lbs to the Maesteg puncher.'

BTW Billy Smith who takes on debutant Stephen Mullin tonight is also down to box on saturday against Nicky Smedley then a week later against Baz Carey. He really is tough!
