Anybody watch this? Asiku stopped him literally a second before the end of the first. What did anybody think of this stoppage? Was it a good call, or was it a bit too early being that nothing else would've happened to him in that round?

he went down twice though, and the second knockdown looked pretty heavy - he did well to get back on his feet to be honest.
it`s a marginal call by the ref but i for one will never get on a ref`s back for erring on the side of caution.
fair stoppage imo.

he looked pretty unsteady I would say it was a very good call by Mr Keane

Good call. Callaghan would only have been wrecked in the next round. Out of his class - in weight terms, not just ability.

He did look well rocked when the Skysports teamed interviewed him.

Yeah, did you see him wobble when the ref asked him to step towards him?

Poor git, he was well gutted after, I think it was a little cynical interviewing him so soon.

Yeah, maybe. He did look kinda devastated.

I knew the fight would have been stopped, John Keane refereeing.

He always is a bit extra cautious, remember Harrison vs Bonin.

It was a tough decision, think maybe as it was a championship contest he should have let him gone on, but he was staggered. Not a horrible decision, seen alot worse - Harrison vs Bonin is a prime example.

Callaghan tried, but as everyone here could see, was out of his depth. The good news is he's only got damaged pride and that will heal. Bad luck Mark, but full marks for attempting to bridge the gap.

Also as JimmyJamJeruesalam pointed out, the post fight interview was uncalled for. Surely we all knew how Mark must have been feeling and letting the "wooden" Ed Robinson loose on him was insensitive on Sky's part.
