i recently made a thread on this match

johnson 15 unanimous marciano

- itsa funny cause i read in a book once and one of the boxin historians said marciano would be johnsons worst nightmare. i guess they think swarmers wouls give johnson fits. i tend not to belive that

i could see the rock beating johnson. rock was a swarmer, but his unbeleivable power made the swarming unlike any other, aside from louis/dempsey possibly. rocky hit harder then johnson..he hit harder then anyone johnson ever faced, and i could def. see rocky knocking him out late. i dont see the fight going the whole way

I agree with this, as of coarse you know Brockton. The Rock would have broke Johnson down throughout the fight and finished him off late.

Rocky would have pummeled Johnson so bad, women ,children and old folks wouldn't be able to handle the sight.Johnson's swollen, lump covered head, would be laying lopsided on the canvas after one of his many trips there, when the ref would halt the fight.Johnson was way over-hyped and had about as much chance defeating Marciano....well you get the picture,

I agree that a swarmer would be tricky for jack but his whole game plan was to not expend too much energy, nullify his opponent and allow them to exhaust themsleves.

There are a umber of factors that make this match up interesting. Rocky's amazing stamina in a 15 round fight would mean that Jack would be fighting someone much busier and for much longer than he would have fought ever before. It wouldn't be pretty but I can definitely see Rocky outhustling Johnson in many of the rounds. I can also see Rocky having a lot more energy left late on when Jack is looking to take over. I think this would cause Johnson some real problems

They were both good bopdy punchers and Johnson had underrated power.

For Rocky he has to get close and we know that Johnson was possibly the best man at tying up an opponent.

I think this is a very close fight but Johnson just nicks it.

rocky by late ko.johnson does well early on,spoiling marciano's attacks.however marciano will exert his will on the fight and break johnson up.

Im not sure... Johnson would be smart and not hang on the ropes or in a corner, but I think this fight is all about infighting, Marciano's workrate wins it, but Johnson in the clinches was an amazing fighter, this fight is interesting, I'll take Rocky by Late round TKO, Johnson clinching, defense, infighting, and ring savy make this interesting though.

Marciano knocks out Ole Jack with three of his hammer-like right hand.

Marciano wins by ko round 4 (If Jack's lucky).

I think the best thing that can be said about Johnson was that he was the first black man to be world heavyweight champion...

The overview of the match:
Rocky clubs Johnson down...
