Barrera "Me know nothing!"

by boxingchat
According to Fight Academy the superstar attendances at this weekends poorly attended event in Sheffield is truly impressive. The role call will surely entice the stay-away's to think again and snap up one of the coldest tickets in town.

According to FA today, not only will Tyson be carrying Hattons belt (If they pay him a fee!) and Floyd Mayweather will be attending (Until he denied all knowledge of it in Boxing News) and now, wait for it (Roll on the drums) Marco Antonio Barrera is flying over to 'meet Hamed for the first time since their epic battle'

However, MAB is happily spending the weekend in Mexico and has just confirmed on the telephone "Me know nothing, Fight Academy, Who they a a TV show?"

Hype is one thing but blatant lies? Come on...Tut Tut... Fight Academy.

"A spokesman said today "You wouldn't believe the shit they are asking me to put out, it's ridiculous"

And still they can't sell tickets....Bin Laden at Ringside maybe, Lord Lucan and Martin Boorman holding the round card. Jesus Riding around on Shergar... just a few ideas that may help them sell some tickets.

You really are full of shit.

Its more or less sold out, They will all be at ringside, noone will be in rome. And Nelson will leave Warren after his fight in rome. Probably for FA.

The way its going Warren will make you redundant and wipe his own arse.

Well, I am pretty sure we will know one way or another by this weekend.

.....bit rich coming from the Henrich Himmler look alike himself. Agreed though the Barrera press release smacks of desperation if its not true.

Boxing Chat,

You mention inaccuracies, you are even strong enough to mention blatant lies.

Before I go any further, what a completely sad and pathetic pri ck you are.

6,000, I will guarentee to you there will be a lot more than that in the venue.

How clever you are for picking up the phone and checking, it seems however you have been speaking to the wrong people, entirely the wrong people.

As for Robert Waterman and Dennis Hobson sinking fast, I do not think so, unlike some they do not have to scrabble around trying to find dates on ITV 4 and then when realising a mistake has been made grovelling to "Men & Motors" to plead them to show the boxing!!!

Are we to believe that this fuckwit boxingchat has a direct dial number to Barrera in Mexico? Now go and play somewhere else you pathetic little child.

No he probably has'nt but Fwank would have, are boxing chat and Fwank one and the same.

Still mabee Hobson and co will learn from this and next time have a better undercard , hold the fight where people want to go, a place where theres plenty of hotels and accomadation .

Liverpool , London , they will fill up anywhere has long has people can get about for a drink after , but Sheffield no accomadation no public transport back to manchester. Even Blackpool would be a better place.

Just take on board all Fwanks comments keep the good ones and throw out the rest.

Although said it before Hatton has reached his level, the mystique has gone, only big fights now will draw the real big crowds, Witter for a british fight , mayweather or Zab or a Zoo rematch anyone else will be regarded has a easy fight and he's had too many of them , He's coming along slow cannot be a excuse for mismatches any more, he has to hold the publics attention.

Thats providing he gets over Massua, this guy does everything wrong and is so unorthodox he will be dangerous he has nothing to lose everything to gain , has a good chin and can whack .

Easy fight for Hatton if he's on his game, but one relaspe and it could be curtains , anyway it was the most sensible fight out there for Hatton gives him another genuine belt and gets the last easy one out the way from here on its got to be only the big ones for Hatton .

Best part of it all is watching Fwanky squirm and stamp his feet , little prick wants to take his bat and ball and go home , but Hattons facked off with it

Boxing Chat: Can you confirm or deny that you are linked to the allegedly camp, (please answer this befor posting again in the interest of clarity).

I do aggree the undercard aint grate but at least it has one stand out fight on it which should be exciting. On the issue of Hatton fans not comming out for anyone less than Jesus in the other side of the ring, I think there are 3 or 4 good fights left at light welter and then he should think about moving up. Much of that discussion is accademic however because I think his next few fights will be in the states anyhow.

I gotta admit, that made me chuckle  :D

It is sad though when jealousy rears it's big ugly head!

It's quite possible actually....

I've got Kostya Tszyu's mobile number, and I'm not even connected to a promoter.

Sheffield has never been able to sell tickets

They have had so many great champions but they seldom fought in their home town...

Naz, Nelson, Rhodes, Graham, Jones

Barrera doesn't seem to speak much English, when i met him outside the MGM Grand he was muttering something to me though that sounded vaguely English...probably "Get lost you prick before i chin you". My Esperanto isn't what it should be.

Listen you lot...think radically, why would BAreerra want to see this fight. Did he go to the Tszyu fight? No. Did he come over for any fight other than his own in the UK, NO? Why then would he be interested in this one?

Why don't one of you just e-mail Golden Boy or pick up tne phone to his Manager (names listed in FightFax book) and ask the question, I did and you have the answer.

He is NOT coming to the fight...and never was.

For fornicate sake get a grip of these novice-like idiots spinning all this shit to to you to try and impress the Hatton's by filling an arena and getting a future fight.....

If they can't sell a live fight on it's own merits, then who really gives a fornicate who is sat around the ring?

Please, keep it real!

If you are going to watch a fight/fights why would you care who is going to be ringside or carrying belts or whatever?

Posted: 24 Nov 2005, 11:52
by MightyWarrior
Yeah I don't think anyone really cares if MAB is there or not. He's a friend of Hatton apparently, but 24 hours on a plane there and back is a big ask!

Be interested to see if the reclusive Naz shows up as he's promised though...

Will you be posting an apology if he turns up then?

As much crap as boxchat spouts... he is right in that it doesnt make sense for Barrera to be there... unless he wants to drum up interest for a mega Naz rematch ;-)

Naz has apparently dropped some weight since the dredded Umbrella photo, so may well show is face..

He's met Rick when he's been to the states and they consider themselves friends. He posted a message on Rick's website before the Tszyu fight wishing him all the best and apologised for not being able to make it.

FA have said today that Barrera flies in on Friday:
Also word has been going around that Marco Antonio Barrera will not be at the fight and furthermore he was never coming, but I have had an email from him to say that he will be arriving tomorrow (Friday).
