So what is your view.... Is that good opponent for Amir Khan?

Interesting to see how Khan does compared to Murray I suppose, at least he appears a genuine LW.

At least he is a Lightweight, although he appears to be lacking in punching power by the look of is record (not that I would like to take o shot of him)

Unless the money was right of course.

Not too bad IMO, similar weight, positive record, looks fairly durable

Only had 13 fights though that is a bit sh1t I would like him to take on a couple of seasoned pros who will have real ring nouse those guys are always good for fighters out of the ameters, bit like Domanic Negus vs harrison.

Er, could we not get an opponent named for his 4th fight first?

(well done for fighting this though TheRock, although I'd like to know who Khan is fighting next month so we know whether Thomas will be a step up or down from there. At least he's a similar hight and size to Khan though)

Why on earth are they naming his opponent for February when they haven't named his December opponent yet? Crazy.

Thomas is 5'10 it says so at least he's not going to be much smaller than Khan.

I wouldn't say he was such a bad opponent, at least he is around the right weight and has only been stopped once by Murray. He has been 10 rounds twice as well and appears reasonably durable so i would say he is a decent foe at this stage. No more Steve Gethin's please.

According to that link he hasn't particularly been named as Amir's opponent at all. I'm confused.

Yeah, I know what you mean - first glance at ABA Boxing's link I thought Khan PTS. This, however, leaves my pre-career prediction that he'd go 20 and 0, 18 KO's, on a knife-edge. Not complaining though.

Looks good but we don't realy know the level of the ABA where did he come in the nationals anyone know. Good to see a genuine challenge this early though.

I guess its better than the past opponents, in so much as he is around the same weight.

But still not a very ambitious fight, I mean no disrespect to Jeff Thomas but he has lost to all the boxers he`s faced with anything like an average record.

Has anybody seen Jeff Thomas box? interested to know his style.

An ideal opponent to make Khan look good would be an aggresive type with a very poor defence....hopefully then the opponent can walk into one of Khans light punches to give it a bit more weight, because Khan at the moment does not possess the heavy hands SN would like.

I saw Amir Khan last week at the Hatton fight, i couldn't believe my eyes he his so small its untrue, i thought he would have been bigger than what he appeared to be.

j thomas boxed at 10'6 last time out, so is at least big enough,points too amir looks a good bet. I dont think jeff has the power to hurt anybody, didnt hurt my lad even with 8lbs advantage.

Saw him at Hatton - Tszyu. I think he's smaller than 5ft 10.
