fought last night to go 17-0. Boxrec have him as being managed by John Ingle. This, together with in unblemished record, suggests he is considered a decent prospect.

But the standard of his opponents has been, with all due respect, preety abysmil (spelling?) Ok, he's had some good experienced guys like Peter Buckley, but he fought Laight 1-10-1 in his 14th fight and Nesbitt 5-58 last night (in a 6x2.)

Can anyone explain why Siddique's career is moving on so slowly? Am I too optimistic to suggest he fights Steve Gethin in his 40th fight?

'Golden Boy Sid' is a character. A really good laugh, has a funny streak of arrogance too.

He took up boxing as a bit of a hobby some time ago but now is taking things seriously in that he is in the gym doing boxing work twice a day and has moved in to Wincobank to be near Ingle's gym.

I'm not sure how far he thinks he can go himself. He's looking for a fight with Doncaster's Stefy Bull, which will be a step up in class.
