Courage was not all that bad. Sure he lost a few times but he had a decent 23-3 (20 KO's) record, and damn near KO'ed Darral Wilson in one of those losses. WHy did he retire so young? May be he though he was never going to get any further than he had already gone. He was probly right, but most boxers are not as smart to realize that and stick around too long.

I remember when he turned pro after supposedly knocking out 72 of 72 amateur opponents in the first round (one was a DQ loss). Larry Merchant said that he was certain that Courage would be heavyweight champion, but then the unthinkable happened...he got hit! No doubt, he could really punch, but the beard was not up to par.

In other words, he wants to fight 'bean, which I think Courage could win being that Butterbean is a fatass bum with an even more padded record than Courage has.
