Anyone think that Maussa will ever get a big fight again or will he just slowly but surely fade away.

Just gotta say Maussa showed a great chin until the ko happened.

I think Maussa against Torres who fought Cotto would be a good fight. I'd like to see that happen

I have a theory that with Hatton now a 'unified champ' the WBA will create another, ordinary champ. Maussa might be onvolved in that if it comes about, perhaps with M'Baye (although I'm sure Fwank would rather get him in with Hatton)

Haven't done much surfing today Jomo but a mate of mine texted me and said Hatton had been made the WBA 'Champion Emeritus' already or some such bollocks.

Welsh Statto Stu will probably be able to tell us if this utter shit is automatic.

As for Maussa - he has a fair few paydays coming his way if he wants them. An absolutely IDEAL opponent for those who want to break into world-class level.

I hope Witter will end any hopes of Maussa in world class. I seriously hope we don't see him in a world title fight again. He is poor.

I was actually a bit worried about Maussa, he was starting to ship a few towards the end and he already had that gaunt look about him all night. Glad he was okay, he can come back again and fight a top fighter but won't win, i think his performance against Hatton showed just how badly out of shape Vivian Harris was when Maussa beat him.

seeing as he had to make three trips to the scales to make the weight , i can see Maussa moving up to welter.
not to sure what impact he'll have there, i don't really think he's got that much to offer, hopefully he got well paid on friday and actually manages to invest some of it.

Will probably spend a while as a fringe fighter who will be picked up by people who want a name on there records and promoters who want to fill an undercard with resonable opposition. Make a few bucks and retire.

Would be good to see Witter in against him, the battle of the confusing styles

I was talking to a mate today about the WBA, and how they come up with thier 'super' champ titles, so they can release the original title. fornicating bullshit if you ask me!!

I know its bollocks because it totaly undermines the entire organisations worth becaue a WBA title becomes meaningless. It is totaly unfair to the fighters who have worked there way up to challenge for it aswell if Witter won it for example he wouldn't be able to use it as a tool to call out Hatton because Hatton has already won that one and he has the cornflake packet version.

Witter vs. Maussa would be a bit of a freakshow, but part of me really wants to see it!

He was only a fraction over the weight, he's not a massive LW.
