Okay, with Hatton firmly established as a Sky PPV fighter, who do you think will Sky try and push next.

1)

Clinton Woods - World champion, not that well known but has some very marketable fighters in his devision and winnable fights. I'm talking Tarver and Jones.

2)

Junior Witter - Again not the most marketable, but on the verge of being a champion in the golden devision.

3)

Carl Froch - Has an exiting style, and is marketable. Dull devision mind.

4)

Audley Harrison - A free agent and this devision is wide open.

5)

Nicky Cook - Classy Featherweight, on the verge of a world title fight.

6)

Michael Hunter - As Cook.

7)

Matt Macklin - Strange option, but he is gaining a big US following.

8)

Another - please stress.

Sky will start dipping their toes. Start putting UK shows as part of a big US PPV and check ratings. They did with Hamed, Calzaghe (obviously, less successfully), Haton and I think had Ingle not got injured he would have been on SBO for the remainder of his championship career.

With Hatton out (and this could be a regular case)... Sky have got to try and pick up the extra money somewhere.

I think a potential Woods vs Tarver/Jones bout will headline a PPV - but I think Froch is the fighter with the most box office potential.

Seriously, none of those fighters are PPV material IMO.

You would have to have all of them fighting on the same card maybe to make a PPV out of any of that lot SKY need to have a way stronger show next time they attempt a PPV or i certainly will be thinking twice about buying it and then buying it anyway, that's a fact

if not Audley, then Amir Khan

I could see Audley because he is a HW and that still means something. Macklin would have to avenge that loss really as it was against a relatively low level opponent.

If all goes well against Gurov then Haye could do well because he is charming and has good style and as far as I remember he is an FA star. Froch is very marcetable too and with the Golden Boy deal will be beating up good yanks which will go down well. All of these will have to be developed in the public eye a bit befor they can get a PPV deal maybe an ACDC title or something.

I agree, none of them are up to it yet.

If Audley wins a proper world title he'll be PPV material, just because he's a heavyweight. Aside from him, the only other likely candidate that I can see is Amir Khan.

I agree with that, if a heavyweight tournament gets going and Harrison gets involved it will probably end up being PPV.

and maybe Robin Reid if you include 18 Plus Movies as PPV.

Thats a big if I think. You cant win world titles throwing 10 punches a round.

True, but I suspect Audley is the type of fighter who will raise his game when he's in with better opposition. He hasn't looked great so far, but he still has a good chance of annexing one of the main titles in what is the weakest heavyweight division I can remember.

No chance, I wouldn't pick him to beat any of the current beltholders. I fail to see how a man who was outboxed for long periods by Bonin is going to be a genuine world champion.

Amir Khan if he doesn't get chinned.....

I didn't have Khan on the list as he will surely be on terrestial TV for a while.

David Haye though is quite a good shout - depends though on how far he progresses.

Fraudly is going to know that fighting fat plumbers and doorman will not prepare you for decent fighters such as Williams, let alone the crop of Heavyweights across the pond!

Yes agree get all of them on the show and i would be happy to spend the £15

Its the same reason i have spent £215 for December 10th, but even that gets worse as the days go by!

I could see John Murray becoming a PPV star down the line, everyone is taking to his exciting style of fighting and his fight anyone attitude. Out of the list above I would have to say Froch is most likely PPV material. The guy has bags of talent and is a great talker as well which always helps.

One thing that froch also has is a good promotional outfit who are pushing him into big fights.

Won't Calazage-Lacy be PPV? If not Cals fight after that should be, if Hamed comes back hes PPV. Witter would be PPV if he fought Hatton or if he goes on to greatness - not impossible. Technically wasn't Witter-Ndou PPV (I cant remember what it was the undercard for)

The Future - Amir Khan - without a doubt will be. Audley could be - especially if he beats Williams in a top notch dust up and goes to fight a belt holder. Other possibilities - Murray, Mitchell

Not sure PPVs are good for boxing anyway - I dont mind paying for great world class fights but not trash like Hatton-Maussa

Final year student, all night librarys amounts to the same thing.

The fighters could always jump ship if sky offer them money to be in PPV fights which was Hattons motivation. Don't see Amir doing it because he will probably make a heep in merchendice and sponcership if he stays on national TV.
