Just read on the BBC site that after fighting Lacy, Calzaghe will move up to light heavy. So maybe a fight with Tarver will be on the cards afterall?

Except Tarver will be a heavyweight.

Calzaghe v Johnson, Briggs, Erdei, Woods.

There are plenty of valid options.

Not forgetting the returning Reggie Johnson and of course Roy Jones Not So Junior.

That would be a shame since there are still many good supermiddleweights to fight (I know at least one whom i think is better than Lacy).

Dont really know what Joe's trying to do, seems like he's in a bit of limbo, despite the fact he is unbeaten and has held a belt for a million years. I guess a lot of questions will be answered when he fights Jeff.

Calzaghe will be retired after Lacy KOs him.

I wouldn't be overly surprised if that happened. But Lacy has to beat him first.

Because he's getting tight for the weight.

He's been tight at the weight for years.

Wonder how Lacy makes weight, he must have well skinny legs because his top half is like a heavyweight.

I have FA interest in what Joe is doing after this fight, my interest will remain that way until after the fight actually happens..

Joe's a good fighter, but the endless talk of him doing this and that and then it never happening (Hopkins, Clinton Woods, Tarver, Johnson, Jones Jr) has dulled my interest.

Of course I am not saying it is all down to him, injuries have played their part and Hopkins apparently pulled out of their fight, but it's all gotten so tedious.

What makes it worse is the cockiness that comes with it. Hardly unusual in a top flight fighter, but when combined with the tedium of joes long reign and lack of important bouts, extremely irritating.

I wish Calzaghe would just keep quiet. This has done the rounds about 1546238928 times now.

did u read the recent enzo calzaghe article in boxing monthly. he was so arrogant and sure of himself.

enzo was making out calzaghe had unified the titles and beaten every great in his era.

no wonder so many british boxing fans would love to c lacy lay it on joe.

No I didn't. It amazes me when you hear people talking about how Calzaghe 'cleaned out the division' or 'faced everyone who would face him.'

Ok Ottke would probably have rather dodged bullets than risk his titles in a fight he might actually lose, but there's been a host of other fighters which Joe never faced, or never faced in his prime.

Lately, Mundine, Kessler, Larsen etc have all been shrugged off for various reasons, money, no profile etc. However, Joe could have proven he was the best beyond doubt by facing these men. People want to blame Warren, but I don't see it that way. Hatton got a fight with Tszyu, because he wanted it badly enough to force his hand.

I've always thought Joe was happy to just carry on defending his belt, notching up title defences, and being the biggest fish in a small pond.

Had he had one or two more major fights in his career, he could have gone on to eclipse most British champs, but instead question marks will always linger, which is a shame, because he obviously had the talent to do more.

This criticism isn't levelled at Joe alone, people even say the same about Jones Jr, though he fought and beat a far better level of competition.

I read the Enzo interview.

What I mostly disagree with is him calling Clinton Woods a fraud, Woods worked hard to earn that IBF title and tried 3 times with an iron deficiency until he won it on the forth shot.

Only few I can think of who were decent that Roy beat were Toney, Hopkins, Ruiz and Tarver the first time.

Ismael Abdoul, Sam Reese, Tony Oakey...endless possibilities. Out of interest who holds the WBO Light Heavyweight belt? Erdei isn't it? At least we know where Joe will be heading anyway

Enzo Calzaghe is an interesting character. I remember an interview he did for radio Wales when he said he only got into boxing cause of Joe. He sparred a bit with him as a kid and Joe expressed more an interest so he took him to an amateur gym who said "he's doing fine with you, he's could win many bouts now" - so Enzo took control.

Then I read interviews saying he has been coaching for Donkey's years, well before Joe..... Anyone know which one it is?

Suprisingly good trainer so someone who hasn't boxed competively though.

He is right about Joe being the defining fight for Lacy but not vice versa as he is the biggest name in the Super Middleweight division to fight.

Has a good positive attitude as well.

I'd absolutely love Calzaghe-Woods
