Well it does make sense seeing as there is a link between Alex Arthur and Manny Pacquiao through Freddie Roach.

Burns isn't a southpaw though.

Good to hear Arthur is mixing in good company however.

Arthur is right to be pensive. Roach sees Arthur's hunched stance to be similar to Morales'. The way he leans in and punches is quite similar too. Except he's slower. Roach is asking Arthur over so Pacquiao can rattle combos off him and practice stuff.

On a positive note it can only help Arthur being in the ring with someone like Pac-Man

This is great news for Alex Arthur and will truly stand him in good-sted. The experience Arthur will gain from sharing the ring with Pacman, let alone the boost to his confidence (providing he doesnt gettered totally battered or sparked out) will be hugely beneficial.

To me this also highlights that Ricky Burns is in too deep. The levels both fighters are currently at is just too big.

Right from his earliest days as a pro, infact back to his amatuer days, Arthur has usually sparred or trained with quality pros

Burns has a BIG chance in this fight. I'm not sure what his odds are but he might be worth taking on if he is overpriced. I think he will outbox Arthur for the whole fight. Arthur won't be able to deal with him

All good for Arthur, as long as he's not being carried out of the ring feet first after each spar.
Should have too much for Burns you'd think...but then I don't know much about him.

Lets hope Pac has huge gloves and doesn't damage Arthur too much.

I've seen vid clips on Manny sparring before (In the build up to Pacquiao vs Morales 1)... Pacquiao had his back against the ropes, and he was allowing the sparring partnet to hit him in the ribs.

I was thinking, "What the hell is he doing that for?... To build up his punch resistance to the body?"... Either way, I don't think that's th best way to build up punch resistance.
