Margate light middleweight Takaloo has spoken of his frustration at being frozen out of the title scene.

The former world title challenger was due to have fought Eamonn Magee on 10 December but the Belfast banger has pulled out through injury.

"I want to fight for the Commonwealth and British belts because you're remembered for winning them," he said.

"I'm starting to realise how tough this business is. Boxing is the easy part, the politics gives you headaches."

The 30-year-old fled his native Iran when he was six and finally received a British passport in 2003 after a long battle for citizenship.

But he added: "One of the reasons I got citizenship in 2003 was so I could fight for a British title because that was always a dream of mine. But now I've got it I can't get the fights I want."

Takaloo challenged Daniel Santos for the WBO light middleweight title in 2002 but was comprehensively outpointed.

He endured a nightmare 2004, losing successive encounters with Eugenio Montero and Wayne Alexander.

But Takaloo says he has learned from those defeats and is determined to get to the top.

"Despite the setbacks, I keep coming back. All I need now are those fights that will change my life a little bit."

Fair few others seem frozen out aswell, whats happening to Wayne Alexander - where is Thomas McDonagh's long overdue mandatory.

Does anyone fancy Mcdonagh to spring an upset , if/when he fights Jamie Moore???

Depends which Storm Boy turns up I reckon - he can clown and look out of sorts in the ring quite often, but when he gets down to business he has great technique and can box beautifully when he puts his mind to it.

He must be frustrating for poor old Brian Hughes.

I back Moore inside six rounds, McDonagh is alright clowning against journeymen but when he has to step up and fight i think he will be found wanting.

I'd have to go with Moore as well, probably inside 8 rounds. He's on a roll right now, and I fancy him to be too strong for McDonagh. Wouldn't mind seeing that one early next year though.

Whatever the result McDonagh needs to step it up now, 29 fights is plenty of experience before a British title fight!! He's been a pro for 6 years!
