Khan is fighting Daniel Thorpe next.

Thats actually not to bad for his 4th fight.. Thorpe is coming off arguably a career best win and is 2-2 in his last four (with 2 decentish boxers as his wins).

Worry is that Super Featherweights have stopped him easily enough.

Good fight, better than i expected anyway. Thorpe is tough and competetive, gave a good account of himself versus Femi Fehintola but poor old Femi cannot punch at all.

He only gets one week's notice though - can't be that tough to find opponents for Khan - you'd think they be lining up for him.

Only fought last week, so I think he will be in reasonable shape, but he is small for Khan.

Stephen Bell almost walked through Thorpe when they met - can't imagine Khan will struggle too much.

Still, he is an experienced and in form man so fair play to Khan's matchmaker (Dean Powell).

Although in skill terms this isn't a bad fight for Khan, but come fight time Khan will outweigh Thorpe by maybe a couple of divisions. Thorpe isn't a big fighter, and thats at superfeather.
I saw his fight against Mitchell, and he messed Kevin around for a couple of rounds landed a couple of swinging right hands, but once Mitchell got his range then it was game over for Thorpe, his corner made a good call by signaling to the ref that they had seen enough.

Khan will be to big for Thorpe, i'd say a quick stoppage here.
They do need to match Khan with some bigger lads soon, get him used to fighting people in his own weightclass.

Fair enough mate - I was ringside for the fight and you did seem to be struggling with either your balance or footing. Maybe 'walk through' wasnt the right term to use, in all fairness.

Glad to see u making strides with Dave Coldwell in your corner though - he has always been a likeable and approachable guy.

Good luck with Khan, but i just think he will have too much speed and size for ya.

Fair enough mate - I was ringside for the fight and you did seem to be struggling with either your balance or footing. Maybe 'walk through' wasnt the right term to use, in all fairness.

even though thrope is alot smaller than khan it will be intresting to see how khan dispatches him.lets not forget kevin mitch found him akward ,and i think the fight was stoped abit premuture ,and ryan barrat dropped thrope 3x .lets see what khan dose,if kevin is looking for a opponent look no futher than ryan barret he as been calling out kevin for some time,and dont forget ryan gave kevin a bit of a beating in there am days.anyone no why kevin left the talented trainer in tundia for that paul cook?

I think it has something to do with Tundia trained the guy that stopped Vinny Mitchell in the amatuers recently, bit of a clash of loyalties.
at least that was the reason i heard.

Think that being with Paul Cook won't do Mitchell any harm, will get some top sparring with Niky anyway

Decent fight this. After the Mitchell Vs Thorpe fight wasn't Khan playing down the Mitchell performance and his ability in general? I'm sure Khan will be going all out to beat the Mitchell performance.

I dont think Khan will blast Dan away. For one Khan is not the puncher people think he is , in fact i have to sayd i dont think he hurt Gethin in their fight.

Thorpe is good enough to extend Khan the full course.

I am not sold on Khan's power either. He throws a lot of shots prompting referees to stop fights, but he doesn't look to have concussive power yet at all.

No disrespect intended to Dan thorpe...but..

This is another piss-poor match-up, intended to give Khan a stoppage win, why are they so scared to match him with anybody his own size

Khan is a natural 140lb-er whilst Dan Thorpe appears to be a lightweight...well atleast the divisions are closer than the junior-lightweights he`s been fighting so far.

I hope you can last the distance Dan and upset the applecart

I'm a little disappointed. Koki Kameda is, what, 9 fights into his career and has already taken on a tough ex-world champion. They should really be moving him along quicker than this, imo.
