I was going to write a topic about this myself but never got round to it, what a great fight we have in prospect!! Begging SKY to show it in full but i doubt they will, the main event looks a dead cert to go the 12. I am tentatively backing Larios but who knows, what a genuine matchup

Here Here, I have got the rematch on tape - fantastic bout a fight of the year contender. I wouldn't be surprised that this one is the same, despite the excellent fights we have had in 2005.

Larios is a lazy fighter - content to throw the occasional punches , that is when he is not 'up' for a fight. If he is 'up' for a fight then he can be exciting to watch as well as the toughest fighters around.

If you have seen the second fight between the two , you will know that this fight will be a classic. In the second fight , the amount of leather thrown was frighting as well as electrifying.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Larios will win the fight in a close 12 round decision.

I've gone for Larios TKO in 10 rounds myself. I'm not in the least bit confident about it though. Let's hope we get to see it all though.

opps Vasquez wins in the 3rd cause of a cut, it was most likely caused by the thumb of the glove.

It looked like a legal punch to me (but then again its 04.30).
Larios was down after 30 secs in round 1. Larios didnt protest the stoppage.

Bloomin knew it. I thought it would be far too unpredictable if you were to favour Larios at 2/7. I did consider a modest bet on Vasquez, even though he was only around 9/4ish. But I didn't, so obviously he won. That's him and Chanet I've not done anything about now.

Only just noticed this comment Tom and i am a bit surprised, from what i have seen of Larios ie is anything but a lazy fighter, he throws bunches of punches in a round. Vazquez caught him with a good barrage in the first round last night and it knocked a lot out of Larios, he didn't contest the stoppage too much, the commentators were probably right when they thought Larios was content to come back again and try another day.

Is a unification likely at all? I don't think Monshipour has been out of Europe, and Vasquez has fought a lot in the US but no further. Anyone heard whether it can be done???

I doubt the French will let their local boy anywhere near Vasquez.

Monshipour might be good, but he's been carefully matched on home ground, and Vasquez looks like the hardest puncher on the block at superbantam.
The Iranian would be in for a shock with a live one like Vasquez in front of him.

I have only seen Monshipour once, in with Nakazato and the French based fighter has bottle but if he shipped the shots against Larios or Vazquez he did against Nakazato it would be an early night.
