Did anyone see Quartey fight the mexican chap? Good scrap. and I think Quartey still has something left and I was very impressed with his ability.

I didnt get chance to see him many times in his pomp, but I still think he has something to offer - his power is wicked, his jab is hard and accurate and he has good defense - oozes quality. The mexican put up a spirited fight but was getting a beating when the ref jumped in. Look foward to seeing him in action again.....

Thought the ref could've jumped in around 5 rounds earlier, the other guy was taking some sickening shots in the round or two I watched - talk about too brave for your own good. I skipped on the tape a bit, expecting to see Ike win by TKO, and was amazed to see the poor guy still taking a beating 20 mins later ( unless I missed a fight back? )

Still, Quartey looked a force to be reckoned with a lightmiddle - that's an awesome jab he still has, best I've seen since the days of Hearns and Holmes.
Ike used to have a bulletproof chin, but I think those days are long gone.

Quartey will definatley be a top contender at Light Middle. He looks better than Mosley and Vargas, I reckon he would beat Mayorga also!

He looked pretty good but all he was up against was a punchbag and his stamina still looked suspect. I would like to see him in with Mayorga too though

Glad with this performance for two reasons. I am a fan of Bazooka and also a fan of Verno Phillips - Bazooka's performance on the weekend shows that Phillips' performance wasn't as bad as I initially thought. I didn't expect Quartey too be a serious contender again, and I thought the Phillips vs Quartey fight showed that neither are going to be up there again - looks like I was wrong, Quartey is back up there and who knows, maybe Phillips can challenge for some honours aswell.

Bojorquez was shot to pieces, have you seen his recent record?

I honestly struggle to think of a style in boxing today that is more attractive than that of Quartey. Those punches are an absolute joy to watch, and the guy seemingly has never heard of the word clinch.

Ike clearly can't bully guys at 154 like he used to in his old division but he still has a heck of a lot left at 36. I'll be rooting for him big time to pick up a title in 2006.

Ike's a terrific fighter, I always though he beat Oscar. Oscar did nothing for most of the rounds in that fight then threw combos at the end trying to steal rounds. Oscar feared his power. Also check out Quartey's knockout of Vince Phillips, vicious. If only his punch resistance wasn't gone. If he keeps that chin safe he'll be a threat anyone...

His punch resistance may have gone though - look at how Phillips hurt him. Ike still have amazing skills - I wonder if he has the style to give Winky problems - I think he does.

what a battle of the jabs that would be!!!!

I was thinking yesterday morning how I'd like to see Ike and Winky spar 3 rounds. Quartey would be really up against it in a 12-round fight though, Wright would be too big and too solid, plus he appears to be at the top of his game while Ike does seem vulnerable at times now.

ike seemed pretty content just to lean against the ropes and let the mexican fella come on to him, he might need to show more mobility against someone better.

I really wasnt impressed with Ike, looked liked he just want to get some extra cash. Alltough Bojorquez needed a KO on my card to win, it was really a shame that it was stopped with 48 secs to go.

I thought it would have made more sense to stop it in the 5th or 6th then instead of the last round with 48 secs to go when it looked like Carlos would hear the final bell
