What happened to Chuck Hull?

last fight I remember hearing him announce was Chaz-Taylor in '90. i prefer him to JLjr or MB. He had an authority and integrity that todays guys just don't come close to.
Am I being sentimental, or does anybody agree? (I was 8 years old when I watched Tyson v Berbick, I grew up on Chuck).

Chuck is my all time fave announcer
he died about 5 years ago

I can hear "Marvelous ......Marvin.....Hagler" right now. I really enjoyed him. Classy.

If I remember correctly, they mentioned it on the Barrera/Morales I telecast.
I remember him on some Tuesday Night fights cards from the 90s.

My first fight (that I watched) was Chavez/Taylor I. I've heard him a lot now that I've gotten many older fights. Excellent announcer.

Great announcer, straight to the point, no fluff or filler, still with an air of the dramatic.
Chuck Hull achieved with straight, succint announcing what Buffer tries and fails with all his nauseating over the top histrionic announcing. Buffer is an announcer for the idiots.

Yes he is annoying, but there are a lot of idiots. I just checked and his net worth is $120M!
