Pozo just defeated Robert Isaszegi by TKO in round 1 to retain his EBU Flyweight Title. Could Pozo seriously contend with Wongjongkam and Arce or is he still a step below them?

He is another interesting addition, Flyweight is actually a very good division. Wonjongkam is on a massive winning streak i think he is the best narrowly over Lorenzo Parra who beats everyone put in front of them and in their back yard, great win over Brahim Asloum recently.

Jorge Arce we have all seen him he is a big puncher, Vic Darchinyan is unbeaten and a good prospect after his great win over Irene Pacheco who is still in the mix himself. Hussein Hussein is a good operator, Omar Narvaez is moving along on the sly as well and had a good win in France last time out and the Japanese are excited about 9-0 Koki Kameda who is only 19.

may i recall Asloum beat Pozzo pretty easily...

I have never seen the fight, but it seems to me just based off the results that a Spaniard losing to a Frenchman in France by 7 rounds to 5 (twice) and 8 rounds to 4 doesn't sound like Asloum beat Pozo easily.

Thats not true at all, it was a pretty close fight and Pozo
came down from bantam to fight Asloum, it looks like
Pozo is now an established flyweight and it wouldn't be such
a sure thing for Asloum to beat Pozo again for the EBU title.

the decision wasnt a gift and Asloum did quite enough to secure the win...
Asloum originally fought at batam too...i'm not saying Asloum is by a mile better than Pozzo but he is better, and saying Pozzo is the real deal at flyweight is just absurd...Pozzo is a top euro fighter, but i think Asloum would still outpoint him and Parra would even stop him...

Raff who would you pick out of Wonjongkam V Parra?

havent seen the thai guy fight...(sorry his name is too hard to type)...but i really think Parra could beat anyone at flyweight...awesome footwork, great defense, good power great stamina, accuracy and handspeed...he got it all...

I haven't seen Parra as yet but i have heard great things, you can't argue with his record and the way he is going about his work that is for certain. Wonjongkam is very solid and compact but does get hit a bit but seems like he has a good chin.

Hungarian flyweight Robert Isazegi has had his purse withheld by the Spanish Federation after losing to EBU champ Ivan Pozo on a dubious first round tko. The 40-year old Isazegi came in as a late sub and had problems making the weight. According to ringside reports he never attempted to fight but just went down as soon as he was hit. After a second similar "knockdown" the fight was stopped. This kind of performance have probably never been seen in a EBU titlefight.
