"I'll be back.... I'm going to bring some excitement to boxing .... It's great to see a Muslim brother (Amir) doing well.... no. Amir's success isn't what's motivating me to come back... I'm going to be back FOR SURE"

That's not word for word, but it's the gist of what I recall.

Don't think he mentioned FW specifically though draw your own conclusions from fact that he sat beside him and was chatting away....

Does Hamed only own one coat?

Was he invited to Warren's 25th part, he was a huge part of Warren's success, so maybe he was just there as part of the celebrations. Although I agree, surely there was more too it than that.

Warren has said some bad things about Hamed in the past over their split, but he has said only this year he would never work with Williams again - well his reaction when he put A farce down says that he can change his mind when money talks.

Unless he diets quickly and gets into shape then he wont be back in 2006, he looked huge for a guy his size.

Indeed, FW did go a bit ballistic when Danny clipped Fraudley, sue sign of how much he dislikes Harrison after he stormed a Sports Network press conference earlier this year.

It was strange to see Naz with FW, especially afte rhe was at the Hatton fight with Hobson & Co. in Sheffield....

I wonder who made the call first - Frank or Naz?

Yeah i had a chuckle when Danny decked Audley and Frank jumped up and punched the air, he was delighted.

I don't know if you saw it on TV but a few times during the fight Frank was yelling at Danny and Audley to get a move on and do something like fight (I'm sure this was aimed at Audley) so when Williams floored him it was also a relief that somebody was actually fighting.

Yeah. Frank`s was the best punch of the fight.

I was a big Hamed fan in the early days and I still say because he started to believe his own KO hype that we never saw the best of him.

But, I always found a lot of his out of ring antics raelly annoying at times and even a little embarrassing. When he runs off at the mouth he just hasn't got the charisma or vocabulary to make it work, in my opinion.

Even last night on ITV when they interview him I found myself being annoyed by him after only a few short seconds. I also don't like the fact that he costantly brings his religion into every single sentance. I am NOT saying this because he is a man of Islam I just don't like it when anybody is constantly pushing there personal beliefs in your face, whatever they may be.

This is Boxing, not a religious seminar.

Yes, really annoyed at the way he disrepected Daniel Thorpe - his old gymmate and honest pro. "I knew he was a couple of notches below Khan" - how, Naz? Thorpe was a novice pro when you last saw him in the gym.

wasn't Dan Thorpe mentioned in that Paddy & The Prince book, didn't Naz clock him because he was all jealous of Thorpe being the new 'star' in the gym or something?

That book has been on my bookshelf for about two years and I STILL have not got around to reading it yet.

yes, I agree. If I popped up to Glasgow or Belfast and offered the view that it's good to see Protestant or Catholic "brother" doing well I imagine I'd be (a) at least shouted down politely (!?) (b) charged with some variation of incitement.

I'm none too keen on this 'muslim this muslim that' stuff spouting out of Hamed's mouth anytime he has a camera thrust in his face. It's beginning to get tiresome, comments attributed previously to him like he 'wouldn't hit a fellow muslim' etc are beginning to appear a bit anti everyone-else to me.

I hope he does come back and get flattened.

Lets hope Hamed comes back at 126, and fights JMM.

As for him being disrespectful to Dan thorpe, he wasn't. He was entitled to his opinion that Thorpe was not in the same class as Khan, which was correct.

I don't see what that has got to do with anything. Will the police/courts decide not to prosecute him just becuase he's back in the ring? It didn't work for Tyson...

Love him or hate him, either way he was a greta entertainer and I for one would lke to see him come back - it would certainly stir things up a bit.

Naz is a charachter and boxing could do with more charachters. A Naz comeback would be a huge comeback and people would pay to see it. Whether it happens or not is another thing, he needs to lose a lot of weight.

As for the religion thing, i don't see what the problem is with anyone saying my muslim brother or christian brother...i don't see why you need to keep religion out of boxing, it's not in boxing to start with. I don't think Hamed was saying Amir Khan is representing Islam just that he's a muslim brother.

However, as a muslim myself it does annoy me that Naz constantly brings it up. Like i say, i don't have a problem with the principle but to do it every single interview is OTT. I was at the fight yesterday and the other thing i didnt particularly like was the number of Pakistan flags in there. Amir Khan is British and represents Britain.

There aren't many British Muslim sports figures so I think it is good to see. Muslims are supposed to support each other. Its not like Naz doesn't support non-muslim British fighters - I remember him getting a little excited at Benn-McCellan.

Diid anyone think he'd lost a few pounds - its hard to see but his neck doesn't look that heavy - although some don't carry fat on the neck

Wouldn't bother me. There's nothing with it. Look at Ali, there is no other boxer who has preached about their religeon more than him. Ali was quite extreme at certain points in his life. UNdoubtedly it might not have been to the liking of all, but that's irrelevant. A man can say what he wants, whenever he wants regardless of trade.

anyone read the boxing news kevin says he prays the night before a fight,but is a none beliver in god.so who in the hell is he praying to.what a clown.as for naz so what if he brings islam into it he is just spreading the name,what better way than in front of millions of people .
