British fight fans; we have a new Johnny Nelson in our midst; step forward, the one & only Mr Audley 'Parcel Force' Harrison!!!

Which one of these 2 spineless tin men is the worst?

Johnny Nelson is a joke & I have boycotted all his fights since his pathetic showing against Warring in 1992, but I have to say that 'Parcel Force' has surpassed him & is one fight away from a blanket boycott!

He has earned over £4million pounds out of boxing, despite never having fought a decent fighter, despite always being 'injured', despite the fact that he can't punch, has no stamina & is more spineless than a jellyfish!

Am I too harsh or is he worse than the equally spineless Nelson?

Nelson can be in some stinkers but he's got balls. Hard to match so moving up to heavyweight to fight naturally far bigger men, often overseas, being undeniably the best cruiser in the UK after clearly beating Thompson, when he wants to use his ability Nelson's a good boxer. But granted he can be in some awful, awful shows. That Jones draw he got was one of the bigger gifts I've seen.

But he's not in the same league as Harrison. The only common ground I can see between them is that you don't like them.

I don't dislike them as men, but as fighters.

I cannot abide with spinelessness in boxing & these two epitomise it for me.

Harrison in particular does not have the stomach for a fight & should retire with his millions.

Always believe that despite being a world champion for 6 years that Nelson is afraid of fighting also. However, not as afraid as Audley. At least he will throw some meaty shots and risk getting hit that little bit more than Harrison.

I know its a controvesial thing to say about Johnny, but the sheer panic on his face when a fighter launches an attack says that he is scared for me.

However, Harrison's fear is so great it costs him offensively.

Nelson would beat Audley hands down....

Nelson's fights with Warring and deleon are awful. but he got his shit together, and has done some good performances in defense of his cruiser title. fought a heck of a lot on the road & toughened up mentally. can't fault him for that, although fights with G Jones and Petkovitch did come close to reminding us the way thigns were...

at his worst nelson was a class above audley. nelson was accomplished on the brit and euro scene be4 the deleon stench, and at least fucked up when he was quite young...as for audley...

Completely different, nelsons incredibly skilled for 1, great defense, crisp punches, and he has had an odd war on occasion. Not the most exciting unless his opponent makes a fight but hes not that sort of fighter.

Audley is more spineless for me, Nelson must have some balls to keep fighting in public after some of his early title bouts

I hate all this Nelson bashing. Yes, he was an ambulatory sleeping pill in the early 90s but a man can change for God's sake.

He is very skilled and has been in some good fights. The poor bastard started fighting men much bigger than him so to make these accusations that he's spineless are plain shit.

He is class - end of story. OK, 'The Entertainer' is certainly pushing it though

Nelson has been in with and beaten punchers like Sellers, Thompson, Watt, Thunder. He's defended his title 13 times, you don't do that if your spineless.

He has fought at heavyweight against big punchers, went the distance with Sanders.
In his next fight he's going in with the big punching Enzo Maccarinelli, if Nelson didn't have bottle would he do that?

The guy is not exciting as hell I grant you but there is more than one way to skin a cat - the whole notion of 'if you don't fight like Gatti or Mickey Ward or Hatton then you are shit' gets on my tits basically.

Take winky - watching him do his stuff with 'skills' is as good as blood and guts stuff if you ask me.

For every Naz, hatton, there is a Byrd, Wright or Damaen Kelly - thats the beauty of the sport

Being a fan of Nelsons boxing skill its a refreshing change to see that the majority view on Nelson is positive.Even though he might not be the most exciting fighter he did turn his career around after 2 very disapointing performances.Something that Audley I feel will never do!

I think my ignorance about Nelson, stems from the fact that I have not watched him in 13 years.

After the debacle versus Warring, which was only 2 years after the Deleon debacle, I decided not to watch him ever again.

Maybe it's time to reverse that decision!!!!

Nelson would wipe the floor with most of the domestic heavy's.

Don't blame you...my dad made the exact same decision and as he's an old boy and scarred for life by watching DeLeon, he just can't face it happening again...think it would push him over the edge!
