Great performance by Arthur. Ikeke was totally chanceless. He wasn´t able to score with his jab. Arthur acted very disciplined at the beginning. Afterwards Arthur was playing with him and just waiting for the KO. As Mr. Sauerland told after the fight they are negotiating with Team Taylor to unify the titles again. It was also said that Wright won´t fight Arthur. Haha wonder why?

Well unless Taylor vacates his WBC title then he wont be fighting Abraham next since Winky is his mandatory and the fight goes to purse bids in January

I presume Mr Sauerland has Felix Sturm under his wing, what would be the chances of sticking Abraham & Sturm in the ring together ???

I am pretty sure that Arthur knocks everybody in this division out. Nobody can´t stand his power. Sturm has a good jab and is a liitle bit more experienced but I don´t see him winning because the power is missing. Sooner or later there will be the time when Arthur lands his monster punch. This is no fight vs Chicken de la Tortilla-Kournikova. Arthur is a killer and still a raw diamond. It´s only his 2nd year as a professional!!!!

Eastman was the most difficult opponent for him in this division. I only see guys in higher divisions who could beat Arthur now.

i think Arthur Abraham will get laught out of the arena if he fought in America.

Sturm is with Universum, so its a difficult fight to make.

I was very careful with my posts before the fight because more knowledgable guys like you and James Mac said that Ikeke has a high potential and is too good for Arthur. So I regarded it as a maximum 55/45 fight for Arthur. As they showed the replay on sunday morning I still thought I was dreaming.....

but on the other hand nobody expected a win from Taylor over Hopkins. Taylor is maybe the better skilled boxer but he must box with such a routine Eastman showed in order to get not outknocked by Arthur. Arthurs punch is extraordinary in this division and anything could happen. Team Wright told Mr. Sauerland before the fight that Wright won´t fight Arthur. So Taylor is leaving. But the question for me is: When does the fight happen? Both would be crazy to figt each other next. Both will dominate this divison in the future. Arthur is very young and just in his 2nd pro year. he needs another 2 or 3 years to have more routine and to improve his skills. And if he does it same way as he did it in the past I am pretty sure he will be the best german boxer of all times and one of the best European boxer of all times. I hope he won´t have serious injuries.

Have just watched the Abraham fight, and he was much more impressive than in the Eastman fight, He started off well , tucking up nicely not leaving much of a target for Ikeke , Landed a few good heavy punches in the first so that Ikeke knew that he was for real.
Have to say that anyone that can get a good Jab on Abraham will have a chance to beat him, Ikeke just tapped out with his jab after the first, so couldn't keep the stronger Abraham off him.

Think that Taylor will be able to outbox Abraham,

I agree, Ikeke backed off and didn't maintain a good enough jab, anyone with a forceful jab and a bit of reach (and not afraid to use it) will have the edge on Abraham. I would back Taylor as he has a powerful jab and if he forces Abraham backwards he is the victor.

But right off Abraham at your peril, he is strong and appears to be able to punch with authority so who knows?

I hear guys on here saying befor the fight "Ikeke has the best jab in the division" or "Ikeke is the better boxer, he will box him out"..........

Arthur was just boxing with a double defense in the first 2 rounds and then Ikeke was desperate and knew that there will be the time that he can´t stand Arturs power punches......

Is Taylor really much better than Ikeke? He won against an old Hopkins who didn´t convince anybody in the last 2 years.......What has Taylor shown before? Can Taylor eat Arturs power punches? It is rumuored that Arthur would fight Taylor in Summer when the fornicating football craziness is on here. We´ll see. I´ll bet on a KO victory for Artur. And I would love to see him fighting Joe Calzaghe.

Abraham was magnificent against Ikeke. Ikeke should've been a legit threat, but he just couldn't keep AA off him. AA is very good at counter punching and cutting down the distance. He throws weird combinations of heavy bombs that are hard to see coming. Neat defense (looks a bit like Sven Ottke with his guard) and i like that he throws the left hook behind the right hand.

He looks like the best middleweight puncher since Julian Jackson.

I'm surprised as anyone that Abraham beat Ikeke, he didn't look that special against Eastman, who in truth let him win that through his typical lackadaisical attitude to big fights.

However, Taylor and certainly Wright are more proven commodities than Ikeke. Ikeke had looked impressive, but not against particularly impressive opposition.

is this true? WW's an excellent road warrior, I always saw him as a guy who'd be willing to take a hard fight like AA if the money was right.

Bubi, you're enthusiasm is refreshing, but we've been here before, you always go waaaay overboard every time a german based fighter records a decent win.

Ok, Abraham has beaten a lazy Eastman, and a possibly overrated Ikeke (just because I rated him highly doesn't make me right), and now he's going to be an all time great...calm down mate.

Don't know whether Winky's team have turned down this fight, but he's got taylor next hopefully...
