Imagine, for all its flaws, that Hatton v Maussa had been on ITV last month. I think they'd have matched the 8 million.

If Hatton vs Tszyu or Hatton vs Maussa would have been live on ITV - Ricky would have got 2nd in the Sports Personality of the year - no doubt.

Yeah second behind a fat cricketer that had a good week, what have the english cricket team done since? I really believe that was rigged and the most popular choice got it. Is cricket even a sport in the purest sense of the word.

I don't think public votes need to be rigged for the most popular guy to win.

Agree Hatton would be a star if he had featured on terrestrial TV with his style and the success he's had.

Those figures were before 'Parcel Force's' lamentable showing against the not much better Williams & were boosted by the fact that the X-Factor was on before it.

I can guarantee that if any TV company is stupid enough to show Harrison live on prime time again, he will not get anywhere near that amount of viewers.

That's why the BBC dumped, because they realised he was taking the urine & viewing figures were plummeting.

8 million this saturday but how many next time round after the shite that Williams and Harrison served up.

Khan will no doubt still get numbers tuning in.

But what casual fan would want to watch anything with Harrison or Williams in it again?

Would be interesting to see the viewing figures by the time the programme switched off (or even after the 8th round).

sky had 150,000 buys for hatton maussa compared to 8million on ITV prime time saturday night for Williams Audley. Hatton could have had mega exposure had he fought on ITV.
