Waterman- Arrogance, plain stupidity or both?

m is There is a bit of controversy regarding Maloney winning the purse bid as Fight Academy actually tabled the largest bid, of around £93,000.

However, the BBB of C disqualified that bid, saying Fight Academy's purse bid did not fulfil all of the rules and regulations.

The Board have a recent rule where a cheque for a percentage of the bid must be sent along with the bid. Fight Academy's bid arrived with no cheque but FA are arguing that they complied line-by-line with the Board's regulations as detailed on the BBB of C's website.

However, Fight Academy's Robert Waterman said: "I'll be speaking with the Board because I believe there has been an error here."

Waterman declined to comment further.

Once again this fool of a man has screwed up.

1. Fight Academy are not a licenced Promoter so how can they bid anyway?
:( :( :(
2. Dennis Hobson is a Promoter, Waterman is not in his own right, and it was Hobbo who put the bid in. Why would the BBBC want to talk to Waterman about it. It's nothing to do with him.

3. What error has there been? The instructions are perfectly clear and concise and included in all circulars sent out to all licenced Promoters. five recognised promters got it right and they didn't. A simple cheque for £1,000 would have seen Froch and Magee get a better payday than they now are and Hobbo would have got another TV date. DOH!

4. Questions;

a) Did they know their 'record' bid was not going to be accepted, hence the size of it? Make;'s them look like major players when really they are not.

B) Will they expose to fool at FA who cannot understand plain english and/or raise a cheque for a measley grand? Was it Poxon? Was it Waterman? or was it Hobbo himself? :box: :box: :box:

c) How can they justify paying such large purses to two fighters they have no relationship with yet the likes of Clinton Woods and their other boxers are sitting on their hands waiting for dates?
:o :o
d) Are Sky giving FA more money tha MH, BH and FM for Froch in an attempt to entice him away from MH?

e) With Sky paying so little how would FA make such a fight pay?

f) In making these comments is Waterman stupid, arrogant or both?

Food for thought, don't you think?

Why is Maloney taking this to Ireland? Kings Hall is great but doesn't it cost Sky extra £'s to broadcast from Ireland. I would have thought that Nottingham Arena would be good enough. Please enlighten me Mr Chat :D

I believe Maloney is working in association with Magee's people why would they give Froch home advantage?

If Froch is as good as he thinks he is (which he blatantly isn't) then fighting in Belfast will be a doddle. ;)

Fair enough, so he is putting home advantage ahead of profits to build a relationship with Magee and his people.

He must be confident of a Magee win then.

Froch has a hell of a lot still to work on but as far as I'm concerned the venue won't make much difference - he's still to much for Brian.

I tend to concur Ian, after witnessing the horror that was Reid v Magee, I find it hard to see how home advantage would help unless they draft in Roger Tillerman specially to stop Froch hitting him.

Hey boxing chat

your mildly humerous at best - listen a bit of controvesy for the sake of it is quite funny at times

stay away from the stereotypes though mate - some people get offended

Regards

Wouldn't it be funny if boxingchat was really someone from fight academy pretending to be from Sports Network who was just trying to make Sports Network seem like hateful bastards when they're really lovely people?

Boxing Chat,

Why don't you reveal who you are?? ... why are you being such a coward??

Is it because if you revealed yourself you would be in a whole lot of sh*t ?

I find it rather amusing boxrec continually allow you to spread your malicious and vindictive b*llocks.

This forum has worked dam hard and has some fantastic posters it really doesn't need f*cking idiots like you dragging them into the gutter ... and yes before you say it they don't need me either thats why I only post so I can entertain myself when confronting idiots such as yourself.

so come on boxingchat ... can you confirm whether you work for a promotional outfit or not?

Have you the balls to admit who you are?

Why are you so bitter and twisted?
