Can anyone please do round by round Haye vs Gurov. It will be much apreciated.

Gurov comes out jabbing. Haye with lots of head movement to dodge them.

Single big right hand puts Gurov down for the count after about 40 secs.

I see Haye called Thompson out again. What do people think to this?

Hugely impressive performance by Haye. That power is something to behold, and I honestly think he can clean up at cruiserweight AND heavyweight if he keeps performing like that. There's no fighter out there who can live with his power and speed.

Except the Cat, obviously...

Who knows, we may have a HW prospect here :)

that loss to thompson could of been the best thing to ever happen to haye.

there is some tough hombre's in the cruisers like mormeck, jones and even our own johnny nelson. some of the names mentioned will definitely extend him rds i think.

It was good to see Haye call out Thompson. I like a fighter wanting to eradicate a blemish on his record, compared to someone like Alex Arthur who refuses to even entertain the notion of fighting Gomez again, you can't blame boxing fans for coming to the conclusion that it's because he's traumatised by his ko defeat last time out.

At least Haye is gunning for his demons...

As for tonights short fight, beautiful shot that Haye took Gurov out with. I groaned when I saw it at first and the Rusky was counted out but seeing the replays it was a beauty. I gues that's all Haye can do...

Fantastic for British boxing this win. Thats three British Cruiserweights I have in the worlds top ten now - still have Thompson there untill he officially loses.

and who knows if Maccrinelli vs Nelson is close, it could be 4 cruiserweights in the top ten.

Totally agree. He did say in an interview that losing was not a feeling he enjoyed or ever wanted to feel again. Seems to have sorted his act a bit. Let's just hope he has worked on his defensive skills too, he might need them at HW.

gurov has always had a shaky chin.i wouldn't go too overboard.dunstan did it even quicker a few years back but he still fell short(in his next fight i think).we won't know any more about haye until he meets someone who's gonna punch back.i hope we don't have to find out when he's in a title fight as i'd hate for him to be found wanting.

You cant fault that performance.

I just hope Haye keeps on fighting highly ranked fighters before he gets that title shot.

But i'd rather see him in the heavyweight division, with the state of that division haye could cause shockwaves through it (especially with that afro) .

Good result for Haye, puts him right in the mix, Gurov has been knocked out before quickly but still Haye needed to be sharp and do a job, which he did.

He did call out Thompson after the fight, if the moneys right Thompson will take up the challange, think Haye would start a big favourite even though he lost the last one to Carl.

The cruiserweights are interesting at the moment, not something you say every year. Mormeck is the No1 , a strong and powerfully built fighter with a good chin, i wouldn't be in any hurry in putting Haye in with him.
With names like Nelson, O'Neil Bell , Guillermo Jones , Maccarinelli and Valery Brudov, its a bit early to be calling Haye the best, but with his punching ability he stands a good chance of coming out on top.

Sky must have paid them some decent money, as that looked a very small crowd ( and I don't mean dwarfs ).

Did look a bit of a small crowd, i suppose Brentwood isn't the greatest place for boxing, Greenburg on the undercard doesn't help that much, laziest boxer around

It's the long distance runners who can grind out hard fights that Haye should be wary of, if he continues to step up. Namely Mormeck. Haye's early KO was impressive but he needs late fight experience. Perfect test for Haye would be Sebastian Rothmann. Hard head, good stamina, can't hit as hard as he used to, but can jab fairly well. Or Kelvin Davis. Tough, powerful guy with little ability.

if Haye makes it to genuine world class, I'd love to see him in with power punchers like Wayne Braithwaite, O'Neil Bell, or even Macca.

Hopefully there's some good Euro fighters to defend against...

Can't fault a one punch ko, but It would be nice to see Haye win a fight where he was extended a bit, trouble is, there probably aren't many fighters outside of the top boys in the division who are capable of extending Haye, so it's difficult to see how that's going to happen.

Blimey that was spooky, came back to find someone had made virtually the same post.

Rothmann would be a good bet, he's got the skills to avoid Haye for a few rounds, but I suspect he would go down the first time Haye landed something, and Haye is probably quicker than him which would make the fight difficult for seb

I reckon Haye v Nelson for the WBO is next.

Particularly with Johnny now a free agent.
