Razor Ruddock vs Alex Stewart

This would have been a good early 1990's match up of 2 sluggers. Who would have came out on top?

Ruddock KO 2. Stewart was an exciting fight as he proved when he slugged it out with Foreman. But Stewart hasnt got the best of chins while Ruddock has and i doubt he could take a left hook from the Razor.

Yeah, I would go with Razor as well. Alex was exciting, but as you noted I don't think his chin would have held up to well.

Yeah, I would go with Razor as well. Alex was exciting, but as you noted I don't think his chin would have held up to well.

Have you seen the Stewart and Foreman fight John L? It was one of the best fights of the 90's and Foremans face was really bad after the fight. Stewart also took some deadly uppercuts in the later rounds and was floored twice in the early rounds but he came back big in the middle.

Ill try and find a picture of Foremans face after the fight for those who havent seen it because it really was one of the worst ive seen in a fight.

Yes, I saw that fight. I generally don't miss any fights unless there a death in the family. Well, not just any death in the family... it has to be someone pretty close.

Yes, it was an exciting fight, and Stewart and Foreman both showed incredible heart, although I think it should also have shown most that George did not possess the same thunder in his shots that he did in his earlier career. While I dearly love George, I used to get ill hearing everyone saying that perhaps he was better at age 48 than he was at age 28.

Curious fighters both of these. Ruddock began his career known as a powder puff puncher with a great jab; after about 15 or so fights he never again threw a jab. In fact he may not have thrown anything besides that left hook/uppercut thing that he telegraphed the hell out of. Had be bothered with that jab he'd have beaten Morrison and many of his other fights would have been so much easier. Stewart froze a bit in the Holyfield and Tyson fights but fought hard against Foreman and Moorer. For all those kos he didn't really punch so great- not a big hitter in my view.
Ruddock beats him with enough big shots to get a late ko as Stewart wouldn't sustain a fight plan to win
