The father of Welsh boxing legend Johnny Owen has died.
Dick Owen, from Merthyr Tydfil, had been in and out of hospital after suffering a stroke.
I know his other son posts on here sometimes, would just like to pass on my sympathys to him and his family.

Yes, losing a loved one is very hard, especially at this time of year.
My sympathies to the family. Just over the 25 years since Johnny died.

Well at least he's finally at peace now, it was clear in that documentary that he never ever recovered from the death of his son.

Condolences to the Owens family...I'm not a church goer, but the rest of my family is and I always try to ask them to give a prayer request whenever I read about someone from the boxing community that may be in need, so the Owens family is in the prayers of my family!
