I nipped down today to get a bit of foam for a pad that had seen better days. The old dear (in her 70's) on the stall asked what it was and I explained it was for boxing training. She then told me she had watched the boxing on the telly last weekend "That Audrey Harrision, what a Mary Jane, I could have beaten him". And for a split second I caught myself wondering if she could have.

HEY JOHN - Are you john shepard who works for SN, if so why has your boss/company not replied to my e-mail I sent over a week ago about the farce that was security at excel last saturday??

Gud lord John Shep you must have some balls going to Doncaster, when i decide to take the 10 minute drive from Rotherham to Doncaster up the M18 or as we call it 'Donny' i'm always shit scared , always find some freaky people knocking about on the streets , especially near the bus station .

John Shep worked with Ringside promotions, Which was Matchroom and Prince Promotions he also ran a couple of small shows of his own and like you say also owns this site and he is a Doncaster man.

Its not a bad place really, got some good clothes shop i.e. section 4 & tomahawk etc, i had one of me best days out in good old 'Donny', went to the races in the arvo & then hit the town centre afterwards then back to the local to watch Hatton - tszyu, shame i lost most of me money on the horses

Just goes to show you the difference between boxing then versus now when an old dear (who is old enough to remember boxing when it was a more repected sport and fighters were indeed "fighters") can make statements like that...
