Who would win if these two met in there primes over 15 rounds.

I would take Napoles... Very underrated as a champion, as a puncher, his durability is underrated, pretty much every aspect about him. Great, dominant champion, vicious puncher, granite-chinned. He'd be unstoppable if he didn't cut.

Wow, what a fight this would be!... this is really a pickem fight... Napoles is very underrated I agree, and so is Gavilan in many quarters. I think I edge towards Gavilan slightly on points....

I think this would be an extremely close fight, but I'd go for Napoles to win by 1 or 2 points because where he and Gavilan are evenly matched in almost every category, the one noticeable difference is that Mantequilla has the better offensive weapons. Gavilan would make his opponent miss, and miss often, but I still think Napoles' power and agression would be the margin of victory. That being said, if they fight three times, Kid Gavilan wins one of the bouts.

I think I would have to say Napoles; a better defensive fighter, a cleaner puncher. That said he also busted up later in his career and Gavilon was the nexzt thing to indestructible.

I think these two would exchange victories... I can see Napoles perhaps edging the first fight and then Gavilan taking the second... then the third?... mmm!. Gavilan was extremely tough and an underrated boxer I think... I can see him cutting Napoles up with his furious combinations and bolos... Napoles was probably the smoother boxer but I'd say Gavilan was a little tougher... had a chin of iron... and gave Robinson hell!... all in all very hard to pick between these two...
