according to boxrec it isn't on any more, anyone know why? Looked interesting

Tua's promoter Cedric Kushner said that the fight was never even confirmed and it was all just internet rumours.
Tua is also still involved in the legal proceedings with his former trainer and manager so expect him to be out til Feb/Mar

I thought that was an odd fight for Tua. He still needs to be fighting every month or so over durable journeymen to shake off ring rust, before even thinking about fighting anyone better.

Tua is not interested in fighting any live opponents. His last 2 fights were pahtetic and against very low quality opponents. Not only is he too heavy but also slower than before his 2 year vacation. Evn his power seems to have decreased a lot.

Tua is just not top 10 material anymore. Perhaps not even top 15. Ever since Ike beat the daylights out of him he has been on a downward spiral. And he got too heavy also. Since then he is a plod forward, eat jabs and throw one punch at a time fighter. He cannot win a title even in todays heavyweight scene. He couldnt beat any of the title holders.

I was a believer in Tuaman way back, but he went downhill ever since Ike took the fight out of him. He is only a gate keeper now. And that is the best he can be today.

I agree that he is too heavy. I saw his first come back fight, but not his second. He looked way overweight. If he is serious about making a comeback he has to be fighting durable journeymen every month for the next three or four months to shake off the ring rust, and lose a significant amount of weight in that time.

Unfortunately, I don't see him doing it. Especially as his second 'comeback' figt was like four or five months after the first,

I always thought Tua v Brock was an stupid risk for Brock, this is because Tua is now basicly forgotten. Tua hasn't fought in world class for nearly 3 years and looked dire in both his comeback fights yet he has the power to upset Brock. Brock would be better facing off against a live and rated opponent such as Ray Austin, Monte Barrett or even Kali Meehan.
