I don't remember hearing anything about this fight being announced.

Fair play to Scott, nobody can accuse him of ducking anyone, he's taking on the big boys of the division, and that's all you can ask of a champion. He could easily carry on defending his WBO strap, but obviously still has something to prove.

I'm not a big fan, but I'll be rooting for Scott nontheless.

Yeah, still fair play to him though because Warren and Maloney were putting pressure on him to move up a division and he said "Not unless you get me a title shot"

Yes, the impression I got was that Harrison and his father felt that Warren and Maloney were trying to prevent him facing off against the best men in the division and keep his unbeaten record.

Scott and Peter told them to take a running jump, and stated they would move up in weight when they are good and ready.

Perhaps Warren and Maloney have Scott's best interests at heart, he does murder himself to make weight, and surely it must take some toll...

What unbeaten record would that be then James?

Fair play to Harrison for not taking the easy option and moving up, but the decision will be taken out of his hands once Guzman relieves him of his belt!

I'm not sure Harrison will blow Guzman away, although I'm not convinced that Guzman is quite the force he was below 126lb's..... But my real question is this; What title is Arthur going to win to entice Harrison into a super-feather clash? There's an awful lot of fighters ahead of Arthur at the weight.

I'd like to see the fight, though. It doesn't need a belt to make it interesting.

Yeah it's a bit strange - I haven't heard anyone actualy announce this fight, but seen it listed and mentioned in the Scotsman a few times. Seems to be just a mirage at the moment - it's clear SN don't really want this fight: 50/50 and that's not their style.
By keeping quiet are they hoping it'll just go away?

i c it listed on boxrec and guzman's camp were talking it up the other day. apparently there gonna be wearing kilts on there way to the ring.

no press conference to officially announce it though.

No tickets have been put up for sale, but Arthur Vs Burns tickets for the week before are being sold. So to me it looks like Harrison Vs Guzman is at the Excel or a later TV date?

I don't see Harrison winning this, Guzman is pretty slick as well as being a banger.

The major factor in Harrison's favour is the weight difference, and that may be enough to tip the scales (excuse the pun) his way, but I don't think so.

Scott is easy to hit these days, and he hasn't fought anyone who can really let loose with hard combination's - Hussein looked dangerous, but was very lethargic in his abilty to put a string of punches together - When he did land, Scott did look visibly stunned.

It's a good fight.

Not seen a lot of Guzman, but from what I hear, he's a bit like Polo except he hits hard.....that sounds like a bad combo.

Why don't Warren stick Danny and Skelton on the same card instead of two separate shows?
