Was Tysons punch power his downfall?

Do you think the amount of quick finishes Tyson had in his early career didn't actually do him any favours in building up his experiance levels?
Just think, Tysons first 16 fights lasted 42 minutes 41 seconds, roughly 2 minutes 30 seconds a fight. Can anyone learn that much from fights ending this quick?
In his next 11 fights he only fought 51 rounds (6 of these ended in 3 rounds or less) and then he fought Berbick for the title.
Not a great deal of experiance and maybe meant he was lacking in ring knowledge when he actually won the title.
Coupled with the fact that his opponents were sh*t scarred of him and fought on the back foot or on the defensive also means Tyson was not only lacking experiance but wasn't getting great rounds under his belt.
Any thoughts?
