Khan - when will he fight in early '06?

There are five big SN cards coming up soon -
Jennings (formally Skelton-Gammer) 28th Jan. Boxrec has Khan listed on this one, and the date he himself said he'd fight on.
Arthur-Burns 18th Feb. Mitchell is on this card, but I don't think Khan will be
Skelton-Williams 25th Feb. Good chances I'd reckon
Calzaghe-Lacy 4th March. Pretty good chances I would have thought.
Harrison-Guzman 25th March. Slim chances so soon after (if he is) on sicknote card
I'd say the 3 English cards personally, which really isn't bad going. Anyone care to guess the opponents feel free. Jeff Thomas appears to be a non-starter despite still being listed as an opponent.
Bowden, Maynard, Gary Reid?

I KNOW LEE MCALLISTER HAS BEEN CALLING HIM OUT BUT FWANK WONT GO THAT WAY.
THERE ARE MANY YOUNGSTERS OUT THERE WANTING THE SHOT AS THEY ARE FED UP HEARING ABOUT WHAT KHAN IS GOING TO DO TO THE BOXING WORLD.
GIVE HIM A FIGHT AT LEAST 60-40 IN HIS FAVOUR AND SEE HOW HE HANDLES THE STEP UP.

Gary Reid would be a good fight for Khan , but in my view he is too dangerous for Khan at this stage of his career.
Reid whacks to the body really well , he can also take a decent dig , when he moves up to 8-round class , then the fight would be a good one. Gary has done 10 rounders.

I think Khan is ready for Reid personally. Maybe as the last of those three dates.
I think he is ready to step it up.... I was very impressed vs Thorpe who I saw as a step up.
Anthony Maynard would be ideal next. Maynard has some skills and did well vs Danny Hunt.
Chil John, Anthony Maynard, and Gary Reid (in that order) would be my next three fights for Khan.

That wouldnt happen , if he fought him now in the 4 and 6 round stage of his careeer then Khan would have to go the full route. im not sold on Khan's power and Reid is a proper light-welterweight .
Reid is a dangerous puncher.

Steffy Bull would be a good name for him and I think he's the area champion so a possible first professional title for him.

Good call. Bull is a talented fighter and could give Khan a rough ride , if Bull could punch he could have been a force on the EBU scene , as it is i think that Bull will reach domestic class.
Carl Allen would be a good fight.

Reid would be a solid next step up Rock, i know you are connected to Khan in some form so you must realise it is a learning curve he is on, putting him in too deep too soon would not be good management i don't think.

Mounir Guebbas. Gave John Murray a very decent argument recently and will work every second of every round and is as tough as nails.
Both Murray and Mitchell recently listed him as their toughest opponent so far.
Will be very intresting to see how Khan can handle this very tough Frenchman.

Gary is a dangerous fighter - he is like a pit bull and bangs hard. Don't be misled by mere statistics. Have you ever seen Reid box?
I also think Maynard would be a bad match for Khan, as Anthony is a quick fisted fighter. His career has stalled badly, however, so its hard to say if he has been training hard/regularly.

NOT ALL YOUNGSTERS ARE AFTER THE PURSE,THERE ARE STILL SOME PPL INTERESTED IN BOXING RATHER THAN THE PURSES.

There was a small clip of his last fight vs Cook shown on Sky.

Maynard - good call TT.
Maynard would be a handful for Khan , espec at this stage of his career.
It all depends really , will Khan fight at lightweight or light-welterweight , Reid would be good as he is a solid light-welterweight and might silence a few critics that claim that Amir is only being matched with smaller fighters.
Still think he should fight Ernie Smith though. Both John Murray and Kel Brook who are lightweights have fought Smith and won well. Smith is the bigger fighter , tough and proud.
