this takes place on the 28th january and it looks an intriuging match up althogh i think Jennings will be to cute for Muttleys aggresive style it has all the ingrediants for a great fight,my verdict Jennings hard fought points win what do you lot think?

I fancy Lee to do the job in this fight.

Lee is an underated boxer-puncher , he has also got a good chin. He will hit harder than Pryce does and i feel if he catches Jennings early then he will put him down for the full count.

I hope he does it. The Midlands need a champion..... i think Lee is the man for the job.

Being from Wolverhampton i agree with you Tom, the Midlands needs more champions and Muttley seems to be one of our better hopes. I think he has a good chance, i had never been particularly impressed with Jennings before the Vincent blowout but that was a good result, Jimmy doesn't get KO'd like that too often. Haven't seen the Pryce fight yet but will back Jennings to beat Muttley but hope Muttley does the job, he certainly has the punch for it.

Problem with Lee (apart from being a 'Baggies' fan!!!!) is that he has a tendancy to 'drop off' during fights and not do enough work , if he does that against Jennings then the fight will slip away from him.

Lee will need to press the fight to Jennings (whos not too good under pressure) , land heavy shots and be busy , as well as keeping his hands up (sometimes neglects his defence)

Lets hope he can do it , i'll be their cheering him on.

He is sadly. Wayne Elcock i love the bloke , but he's a bluenose!!!! , i can never forgive him for that!!!!.

There are some good fights in the midlands. Cov , Dudley , Brum etc.

Lee is a career light-welterweight , so Jennings might be bigger than him.

Muttley look fantastic in blowing out Sammy Smith in one-round , for the English title.

Shame he's not fighting Nigel Wright at light-welter - he'd slaughter him.

British title shot though , so you cant complain.

I would have to disagree with you on the comment that Jennings isnt good under pressure his footwork is second to none is this country and he boxes beautifully on his bck foot its one of his main strenghts

I take your point , but if you watch round 1 or round 12 when Pryce is really pilling on the pressure , Mick doesnt know what to do , hence taking silly shots which hurt him.

Same happened against Saunders a couple of years back.

Lee will be all over him , it will be intresting to see how he responds to the pressure.

Yeah i agree he was all over the place in the last round of the pryce fight but he wasnt on the back foot when he took the silly shots he was piling the pressure on if you watch you will see this.I also have the saunders fight on video i dont see no indication in that fight to say that Jennings isnt good under pressure.

Jennings is destinctly average, i wasnt impressed at all vs Pryce. Muttley will beat him by TKO

Mutley certainly appears useful, but not only is he stepping up in class against Jennings, he's also moving up in weight. Not sure how he will cope with the weight as he was mostly listed as a Light Welter, and that's the weight where he has faced the more testing opponents.

You could also ask what has Mutley done at Welter to warrant a shot, but we all know that don't matter these days.

If Jennings doesn't cope well with pressure how come he's undefeated ? He's faced fair enough opposition at British level.

Mutley has it all to prove and his punch power could be key, but I take Jennings to put another notch on his Londsale belt by virtue of his superb fitness and higher calibre of opponent he has faced.

Muttley is 4/1 (Jennings 1/7, Draw 28/1).

I think thats a great price.

As I dont have sky for a few weeks (moved out of one house) its annoying that the jennings mutley fight is on ITV4 :x the the probable one sided khan fight is on ITV1

This is a great fight - my preview on BBN should be appearing later on today or tomorrow

Jennings hasnt seen any recent fighs of mutley in action so theres a slight, so mutley should start fast before jennings works him out.

Terry ur right mate as i was a stable mate of Mutley's for 3 yr's and fought on 5 bills under and above him(my midland title) i know Lee well,his dad was called or known as 'Mutley' so at the time Lee went pro...let's just say law wise he didnt want his nirth name on posters so certain people knew where he would be at a certain time....Hence the name 'young Mutley' as Lee is the 'young' Mutley.I'd say Jennings points...BUT and a big BUT if Lee can get inside early or any stage in the fight JENNINGS ur finished....but Jennings is good at what he does-he can move fast and box...thats the way to beat Lee...

Good to hear from you Jacko! Cheers for clearing up that confusion about his name.

I think you are right about Muttley - he can go quite and Jennings has the ability to outbox him; I just hope Lee jumps on him and drags him into a punchout. He is in with a great chance, there is no doubt about that, I just hope he does himself justice and pulls it off!

Alright, you've got me.... i cant name any, but im sure we have. How many teams can say the future king supports them!!!!

I really think Lee can do the job, but i hope he doesnt drop off and lose a wide points decision.

BN have picked Jennings - late stopage I think.

its gonna be a good fight jennings will definateley dictate the pace which i think will be muttleys downfall i dont think he will be able to handle the workrate and accurate punches of jennings.muttley seems to have a suspect chin also,being down 5 time in his career.jennings stoppage round 9

Yeah i went for Jennings TKO8 on the prediction league, as much as i want Muttley to do the business i just think Jennings will have too much for him. Will be a good fight while it lasts though i expect.

I've gone for Jennings on points in the prediction league. But with my form of late, that probably won't happen.

I reckon we're in for a very decent scrap though.
