Judah/Mormeck/Grigsby fights this weekend

Just wondered what anyone thought here. I guess Judah's pretty much a shoe in to win, but I'd have thought the Mormeck fight might be closer than the odds suggest (Bell's 7/2 on Bet365), and I know nothing really about Grigsby and his opponent.

Anyone have any thoughts here?

Yes, I don't see Mormeck vs Bell as a forgone conclusion. I think one or two people (myself definately included) overhyped Braithwaite and whilst Bell hasn't looked good of late - he did look pretty good early on in his career. Mormeck's struggle with Hill is still something I view as a "look, I am far from invincible.

I expect Solis to upset Grigsby, both have boxed on big cards that were televised lived - Solis looked lacklusture vs Dieppa (I think though Solis was the favourite). Grigsby also didn't look great in winning the title. However, I feel Solis' youth and him knowing he cannot afford to put in a poor effort again, might make him prevail.

Bell has a puncher's chance, but Mormeck has looked pretty solid so far.
The American has been on the canvas a few times, and I think Mormeck stops him midway. Needs to watch out for the bombs coming back though, as Bell is dangerous when hurt.

Judah on points.

I'm sure i've heard talk of Mormeck moving up to heavyweight (don't know where i've heard this but i'm sure i have). If thats the case i'd rather have Mormeck win then maybe one of the British lads could fight for a vacant title if Mormeck vactaes & moves up, imagine a rematch of Haye & Thompson for a vacant WBC, IBF or WBA belt :o

I have seen Baldomir 6 times, 4 times in Denmark (2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss) and two times in Germany (2 wins) and if he by far my favorite "high profile" journeyman. I dont expect him to win vs Judah (but Ill be rooting for him) but I think he will do better than most people expect.

Typical Argie fighter - very durable, lots of fights, not too many KO's. He was over here 7 years ago, upsetting Joshua Clottey, but I don't remember too much about him to be honest. He's beaten quite a few undefeated fighters, so he'll be liking his chances tomorrow night.

Judah is a terrific puncher, so might catch him early - if not, I can see Baldomir going the distance. Just hope he doesn't upset the plans for PBF in the spring.

I'd be very disappointed if O'Neil Bell toppled Mormeck to become unified champ. The guy is strong but lacks variety and has next to no footwork.

Too bloody right Boxing News, the similarities between Bell and Evander Holyfield definitely do end with their home town.

i hate it when Bell tries loads of fancy moves and ends up nearly tripping over his own feet. he has no jab & never will, so he needs to get back to what he can do well: staying right on top of his foes, batter the body, and try & sneak in those nasty surprise shots, when there's a hole in the opponent's guard. he did this in his first fight with Arthur Williams & looked amazing. Bell is very dangerous, as he's able to pull out the wins when he has to, most of the time, but I think Mormeck should have the measure of him.
