I am a card carrying Ali fan, and I have watched the second Ali Liston KO over and over and have come away thinking that everything that happened that night is Liston's responsibility. He just did not want any more. I really don't see the controversy, but that is because I have watched it so damn often.

With that said the Knockout of Zora Foley sure looks strange. It's like he's on the canvas appearing totaly out with his eyes closed face down and then his eyes open and he oddly staggers and then rather quickly seems to be OK. The timing almost seems like bad acting.

I'm sure it is a genuine Knockout with no funny business but it sure looks strange, I'm surprised I've never heard any controversy about this. I saw this fight live and did not question it at the time.

Folley was a standout guy his entire (albeit short) life. I really don't think he would have taken part in a fix, as I believe you are implying. I don't think Ali would have been a knowing part of a fix in a fight with Folley, who he was clearly better than.

Much more disturbing is Folley's death and the circumstances surrounding it.

No I was not implying anything at all, In fact I think I clearly stated that it was legit....It just LOOKED very suspect upon my review of it recently. The implication is more along the lines that if your going to pick apart the Liston moment I supposed you could find reason to pick this apart as well.

If you take a look at it you'll see what I mean, however I just think it's "one of those things" I'm just surprised no one ever questioned it. Probably because Foley's reputation was sterling. Very stand up reputable guy with a reputation above all things for honesty.
