Back in the 80's, I can't remember who it was, either Clancy, Ryan or Pacheco, but one of them said during a broadcast, that alot of Japanese fighters were converted southpaws because they took fencing in public school and it was almost natural to lead with there right afterwards. Never checked into it, but that story always stayed with me.
