Here is a little trivia for you.
Name the top 5 european nations that had the most world champions (WBA, WBC & IBF only + "the old days") in order.

you must have far to much time on your hands,

my 5 are UK, Italy, France, Ireland, Germany

The UK are leading if you combine England, Scotland and Wales, but Im not looking for that.

That is a world class question. I have just been on a conference call for 30 minutes but spent most of the time puzzling on this:

1. UK (by a mile), if you count the WBO there are about 50 odd British world champions, take out the WBO there must still be at least 35

2. France

3. Italy

I reckon both of these are very close, probably about 15 champs each

4. Germany - not many pre-war, but quite a few in the last 15 years.

5. Ireland- probably about half a dozen

If I had to divide out the UK, the England would be top, France, ITaly and Germany still in their places, Scotland might overtake Ireland

Germany, England, Italy, France, Wales???

A little help. The top 3 are far ahead of number 4 & 5 (and down). One of the top 3 is a british country.

1. is defintiely England

2 and 3 are definitely Italy and France

4. Is definitely Germany

5. IS riether Ireland or Scotland, on reflection, I think Ireland as a couple of the Jocks I was thinking of were only WBO

You got the top 3 correct.
1: England - 34 world champs
2: France - 28 world champs
3: Italy - 23 world champs

4 germany , 5 spain

Germany must have at least 8 champs, I can't think of any other country that gets close to this.

Since most of you claim Germany is in top 5 (and they are not) I challenge you to name the german world champs (I might have forgotten some )

Spain is 6th.

Almost correct. Michalczewski is polish, the other 6 are correct, and they are the only german ever to be world champs. Germany is 7th in Europe.
We still have to find 4 & 5 allthough you have been close. Both countries claims to speak english
