Witter probably didn't train properly for Lynes or Kotelnik, he'd train harder for a title shot. Remember Hatton-Vilches - Hatton looked very poor in that fight.

On the other hand maybe Witters past his, can't fight for 12rounds, and doesn't have a plan B when hecan't land his haymakers. He'll win the WBC if Mayweather vacates though.

Great fighters don't struggle for motivation. I know witter has been dispirited of late, but bearing in mind that the N'dou fight was a big deal, it was worrying how out of sorts he looked in the latter half of the fight.

Hatton looked poor against Vilches, but he still won almost every round, Witter barely got past the winning post against N'dou and Kotelnik and even Lynes.

Hattons game is putting pressure on and fighting 12 rounds, Witters is more of a countering, looking for the KO shot game. Also isn't Vilches basically a profesional journeyman? Hes been stopped by Julio, Augustus and Mitchell, Ndou and Kotlenik are contender level. All the same Witter didnt look good at all in his last 2 outings.

Did you hear Ricky in the corner saying he wanted to quit against Vilches? He kept getting butted and had a cold and kept spitting flem out between rounds, dirty manc

What do you expect them to say Terrance - Vilches he can't punch properly has no skills and this is going to be a crap boring fight - but he can headbutt really sneakilly so thats something to look forward too

I think witter should take a couple of fights between now and his shot to be honnest, I know he is number one now but inactiverty is corrosive especialy for a fighter who needs to be sharp to find angles a la Witter.

Would realy like to see Witter Hatton but I think Hatton is scaired Witter has the wrong style for him. Maybe as a title unificatoin wouldn't that be sweet.

Witter is basically saying that he doesn't respect his recent foes and could score a spectacular home-goal in the way Frankie Randall did when he got KO'd versus (? Don't recall name at the mo') after securing #1 status and doing the hard graft. Witter seems to be withering on the vine and could go this year.

I feel that even in the days of more title belts than contenders the guys in the top ten should be able to maintain focus and state their claims. Witter talks about beating Floyd Mayweather but struggles versus Lynnes! He talks about raising his game but motivation is not a switch, it needs to be "on" all the time IMO and when the big chance comes for Witter it may be for a vacant title versus someone he does not rate so will he be motivated then? It seems that he mistakes thinking he can beat Floyd and Ricky with having done it already.

Witter deserves a shot don't get me wrong but in his last few fights he has just loaded up early then got hit often late. Hardly pressing his claim is it? I know, I know, he isn't motivated.

How as he shafted by Warren? Warren wanted the fight, Sky wanted the fight and Witter wanted te fight. That just leaves one of the 'axis' and guess who didn't want the fight?

Plus he (JW) looked shit most of the time and US TV didn't want him as a result and thus the inflated demands of 'guess who' could not be met.

They both planned the fights Terrance, Warren wanted to protect Ricky, Ricky wanted the most money for the least amount of work

We don't know who veteod the fights really. But I think Warren would easily have made fights with Maussa/Freitas/Gatti - the fights Ricky is making now are no different to the fights he'd be making under Warren.

Precisely. Warren stated he wanted Maussa next after Hatton beat Tszyu, Hatton said he wanted Corralles/Mayweather etc. However, he then fought Maussa and doesn't look anywhere near fighting Mayweather or Corralles.

Team Hatton themselves said in interview that this whole thing was about money.
